I was wondering if there is a way to slow down or turn the time of in the game. I find it very frusterating that I can't get things done because of how fast the days go by.

In game no, but twallan's Relativity mod will do the trick

You can turn aging off easily. That will probably be the same. I'm not sure what it's called in english, but perhaps in options or something? It's down where you can click turn and camera and such.

Thankyou, Cameranutz2, and Volvenom. Cameranutz2, I searched through the game mods in the downloads section, and must have missed that one.
Volvenom, I will probably turn the aging process off as well and see if I like that.

Aging off is not the same, at all. Aging off means sims staying frozen with their age (and be the same age 100 years from now).

Slowing down time means instead of taking 1 hour to shower and 30 minutes to brush teeth, sims would take a lot less time. It is a subtle annoyance in TS3 that everything takes so much time, or time goes by too fast. It feels like waking up 2 hours in advance before work is not enough to shower and eat breakfast and still make it to work on time.

Relativity mod is the answer for this. Default value is 37, I set it to 20, which is .54 speed of default speed. I find this speed more realistic and comfortable to play. You can even set it to 1 and let you do 1000 things per day if that is what you want, but for me, I just want something more realistic, and relaxing.

Oh, there is an alternative to getting this mod. As long as you have "testingcheatsenabled on", you can always adjust the Moodlet bars manually. So if you are running late on schedule, you can skip showering, eating, and sleeping. I know, it's a "cheap cheat" but that is the only thing you will get if you don't want to download mods.

Is there a thread where I can ask a question about the Relativity mod? I'm not sure this is the appropriate place for that. Nevermind, I discovered the answer to said question.

just want to put in another endorsement for the relativity mod--it completely changed my gameplay and make Late Night awesome. Like all of Twallan's mods, it is completely tunable. You even can adjust the timeflow depending on the time of day. For example, I have slow nights (in order to enjoy Late Night), short mornings and medium afternoons. But the nice thing about the mod is that I hardly notice the changes. But now my sims have time to have fun, eat, shower, etc.

Might as well ask here. I may not know how to tune it, but I believe I know how it works. So ask away. Although I have to throw this in: MTS prefers users to direct questions to original creator, which is Twallan, on his website.

However, I don't mind sharing experience and tip/tricks if you want to ask.

Using aspiration points to buy rewards like Steel Bladder and Hardly Hungry frees up a lot of time in the day, so it's much easier to get things done.

I didn't expect it to be. It's just not a mod.
