My sims needs drain really quick. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I was having the same trouble. I was also having trouble with meteors falling on my people and killing them. I had to disable all of my mods. I'm hoping we'll get updated mods for Generations soon.

A lot of mods are already updated, including Buzzler's mood hotfix. Dunno if the issue that fixes is the same one you're having, but it's worth a try :) http://www.modthesims.info/d/432449

I had this same problem, dark colored motive bars, 10 minute veryhungry modlets, takes a sim 30 mins to get stressed out from having a blast. The only way to fix it uninstall the games entirely!

dark colored motive barsWhen you see that, something is seriously wrong and you shouldn't continue playing let alone saving. I've seen that a couple times when I updated my mods to the recent patch and as far as I can see your 'hood is pretty much toast if you save it in that state.

The issue does seem to be caused by certain packages (e.g. my previous Excavation Site Hotfix), but there is no actual detectable reason why they would cause it. If you see the issue, identify the package that's causing it and look for an update. Inform the creator if there is no update.

Oh, and no, the mood fix won't do anything about that issue. When you see these dark-colored motive bars and have these issues with moving/zooming the camera, the game has gone haywire and it's beyond the scope of any mod to fix that.

First I must applaud Buzzler for updating all his mods (at least 5 of them that I am using) to latest version. House cleaning, Moar Interactions, Carpool disabler are very nice to have around, small and do just what it says. If I have to ask it, I will not live without "House Cleaning", 1 click interaction to make sims clean the entire house.

I have not had any real issues with mods in general, except .... sims are now stuck walking around with smelly green smoke with that dirty sock moodlet even their hygiene bar is high. This is not really a Generations problem because people did report having this problem before. It was never a problem for me until now. Other than that, I am extremely happy about this portion of the game. Maybe I am using Buzzler's mood hotfix? http://sims3.modthesims.info/d/432449

CMFan1966, meteor falling on sims is part of the game. Unless you have meteor falling every other minute, I think it is normal. In fact I have been hoping to see a meteor so far. I even tried downloading a mod to force meteor, but somehow didn't work: I used Twallan's Debug Enabler to force Meteor but .... nothing happened, clear blue sky.

I'm really confused. . . are the mood bars not meant to be a darker color? I also have the problem of motives dropping so fast since installing Generations, have no idea what is going on!

I either didn't have a whole lot of time playing (been busying messing around with Day care profession and building a range of micro lots with spiral staircases), so I have yet to feel what most of you are complaining about.

Buzzler's hotfix deals with the weird glitch that while everything is positive for your sim, overall mood is still low.

I guess I didn't see it yet so I am not sure what you mean by saying "darker color mood bars", my sims mood bars generally looking just like that in the screenshot.

I'm noticing this with faster motive dropping too! I actually had a sim die from hunger while walking between the fridge and the table to eat his breakfast! I have toddler sims who I can feed one minute, and a couple minutes later they're hungry again. I even got a warning from social services about my lonely sim child, which has never happened to me before.

I fixed this for my adult sim by purchasing her all the rewards like steel bladder, dirt defiant and the like. :( Not really a good solution for the problem, but it's all I know how to do.

I haven't had any "Slob" sims, I realize. And he licks clean dishes? This is awesome. ")

Same problem as a few others. My Sims mood bars, rather than green and red, are green and black. Their moods also decay stupidly fast and the camera barely moves. Keeps happening even on new games.

Is there any kind of fix for this?

Illu, see Buzzler's post #5 above.

I did, but Buzzler's post didn't say what to DO about it. Uninstall the offending expansion only? Kill the offending CC and start a new save? Uninstall and reinstall the game and packs (and do you also need to delete your saved sims)? Or are you just in permanent trouble even if you start again?

That means you need to test each of your mods one at a time in a new game to identify the mod that's causing the problem. A new game without that mod should be OK.

It sounds like a save that is affected by this can't be rescued, but there shouldn't be any reason to reinstall TS3 or the EP.

One of many reasons not to play any new EP or patch, ever, without checking all your gameplay mods for updates first :)
