imaginary friends q

Basically, I got the potion to turn my imaginary friend into a real person, and plan for my Sim to marry him etc.

However, I was wondering what would happen if my sim had not got the potion. I know they can have romantic interactions with their imaginary friend, however would they be able to marry them without turning them into a real person? Or have kids? Does anyone know?

Sorry if this has been asked before, had a wee look but couldn't find anything. It would be interesting to know.

From what I've read, I don't believe so. Haven't tried personally though.

They can not have romatic interaction so long the IF is a doll, only when he/she is a real sim. When you don't have the potion it will grow older but it will be a doll not a Sim.

My Sim had the option to be romantic with the IF before it drank the potion... maybe this is a glitch in my game and that's why I'm confused! I was wondering what on earth the children of IF would look like.

I had the same thing happen, when my two children sims grew into teens the dolls grew into teens as well and both girls had the Romantic interaction option with the living dolls. Might try it out just to see what happens since none of my dolls are getting turned into actual people, there is 9 people in that house already and even though i have a mod to expand the amount of Sims per household the IFs seem to be above the mod :|

Well i signed back into that game and hopped to it, the doll is officially a romantic interest to one of my teens. For anyone who wants proof, i did take a couple screen caps for the lolz. They made out, went for some hot tub time and yes even woohoo'd, my girl doesn't seem to be pregnant, and giving i have a mod that allows same sex couples get pregnant even if the doll is a female (i dunno what it's gender is) there's still a possibility for babyage to happen. Might actually have them try for baby next, just to see what happens.

I don't know as of right this second, i do know that all the playing/singing/talking interactions with the IF's when they're the actual dolls go away when the sim ages up to an adult, so that would lead one to assume that they don't continue to follow the aged up sims around like a slightly creepier living doll version of Drop Dead Fred.

Yes they can, i just had my teenaged girl woohoo with her IF, see the pics above. I dunno if this is only happening to me because i use a mod that specifically alters the woohoo'ing actions or not, but i've very plainly had an IF woohoo with a sim, in the hot tub no less.

It's a mod thing, because normally, teens can't woo-hoo at all! You've probably had the mod so long that you've forgotten, haha.

Anyone know if their dating a real sim if this can give them a naughty reputation from kissing their doll friend? I'd hate to have one of my sims boyfriends break up with her after finding out she was kissing her doll.

It's a mod thing, because normally, teens can't woo-hoo at all! You've probably had the mod so long that you've forgotten, haha.

Lol, you're right, i have had it in my game so long i had forgotten. :faceslap: But the fact still remains that saying they can't be romantic or woohoo at all with the IF's is false since with one little mod it is in fact possible. Anything's possible given the right mod lol :heyhey:

Evenso EA themselves said sims can be romantic with it as a doll but not woohoo so they can still kiss and cuddle with it but can't woohoo without a mod.

Not Blindingechoes, obviously, but she is one of my best friends and we use the same mods. We both use Twallan's Whoohooer, one of the tunable options is to turn on teen whoo hoo and teen risky whoo hoo.

Like my lovely Laceyharkness said, i use Twallan's Woohooer. It's a great mod that does a lot of stuff, like allowing teens to woohoo as well as become pregnant.

If you put it like that everything is possible. Heck, children can even woohoo with gnomes if someone comes up with a mod for it. :P

Hey now, i wouldn't put it past someone :P The Gnomes now age and reproduce, should an EP ever give simmers control of them, no doubt someone would make a mod for people to woohoo with 'em. Not kids of course, but anyone who would want the little kids to screw needs to take a good long look at themselves to figure out where their head is at :wtf:

WooHooing with your IF is like WooHooing with those ugly blow up dolls, and considering nobody else sees it, your better hope your Sim parents don't walk in on you while you are "playing with your doll".
