Going Crazy, Need help with waterfall

I'm not sure if it's me or a glitch. When making the waterfalls, I put the Emitter on top and to the back of my waterfall then I type in "waterfall_1_short" but NOTHING happens. I've tried moving it and positioning it differently but again nothing happens.. Am I missing something here or is it a glitch in the Emitter? :help:

For some reason the waterfalls show up quite a bit in front of the fog emitter. Maybe about 6 tiles or so. So you'll need to place it further back than you need it. Also, fog emitter effects won't show up until you go to live mode so you can't really work with them on empty lots.

Yes, I have it 6 squares back and go into live mode but yeah still nothing lol.. The sad thing is, is that it's probably something simple that I'm missing :(

EDIT: I also have moved it back and forth thinking maybe I'm off a square. I'll post a pic..

hmm...well probably a stupid question but have you double and triple checked the code you're typing in is exactly right?....I'm assuming you have in which case I've given my 2 cents and I'm out ideas, lol

EDA: Do other effects work? Like waterfall_1_shortsplash?

lol yeah I've went back to make sure that it's correct but I don't know.. I thought maybe I wasn't putting the lower bars in but I was.. Maybe it's how I'm making the waterfall.. I posted 2 pics.. not finished of course, but the start of it..

Silly question but...are you typing waterfall_1_short in the Set visual effects option of the emitter or in the cheat window?

Do you have mods and if so removed them to make sure an outdated one isn't causing the problem?

I'm putting it in the Set visual effects.. the shortsplash and the short isn't working, though I tried the fireworks and it worked just fine. I don't have any mods so I know it's not that and I'm up to date.. lol see why I'm going crazy..

Yeah, I can see why you are going crazy. Very odd that others would work and not that one, never had that issue. All I can say is use another waterfall option until you figure it out. At least you can finish your build if the others work for you.
