'Kay, so I've had a dress rejected in need of new photos and better shading. Obviously no point in taking new photos though if the shading isn't up to scratch, so concrit on that is needed and appreciated. :)

So. Fingers crossed I don't bodge up the pictures here...

Newly added are the shading to the skirt folds and the puffed sleeves, plus a bit more detail to the boob area. I think it's looking better, but that's just me. I have been wrong about these things before! ^^

Also, a question. Another problem with the preview pics was the hair on my sim. However, the dress is made specifically for a manga/anime character and I wanted the sim to look like her even though I'm only uploading the dress. Is a haircut strictly necessary or would it help if I explained this when I submit changes?

I usually have the same problem when making clothing. I think it still needs a bit more shading, also in your first pic it looks like the bottom of the dress is the same color as her legs.

Ack, I didn't spot that. Looks like the modesty cap is showing skin. I'll have a look at the alpha. And perhaps some wrinkles around the bottom area. Thanks.

Okeydokes, fixed the modesty cap, added some back wrinkles and used a fading gradient paint for the folds so that now they sort of merge into the fabric instead of just suddenly stopping. Personally I'm happy with it and I think any more shading is going to make it look like it needs a good iron. :D Thoughts?

ETA: And of course, as soon as I say 'I think I'm happy,' I realise I'm not really and the shading on the tummy looked too... well, like lines drawn on there. Which ok, it was. So, new tummy shading here.

Not shown in game because I closed BodyShop just as I realised I didn't have a picture and it's past midnight and I must sleep. But you get the idea, yes?
