Some of the people who tried my No Licking Puddles (http://www.modthesims.info/d/445812) got strange bugs (puddles from broken bathtubs continually respawned, even after the tub was fixed and the mopping completed) that I was unable to replicate. Of the two people who mentioned it, both had every expansion (as well as the Mansion and Garden stuff packs). This leads me to suspect it may be an expansion compatibility issue.

Unfortunately, I only have up to Pets.

So, I've done a second version of my mod (utilizing a different method), and I was hoping someone with the expansions I listed could test it to see if the same bugs appear. I would be eternally grateful.

I can also give it a bit of a whirl. You may also want them to run the hack conflict detection utility from Simwardrobe.com and have the users copy the log generated from that tool and paste it out for you to look at to see if there are mods clashing with that mod and figure out how to make a work around .

reaper, I didn't actually test your package in game, but I opened it in SimPE and it looks like it ought to work.
Your first package was way too complicated (honestly, I'm surprised the mods let it through with the duplicate OBJD in there). That was probably the sourse of the error. If there is a conflict with another mod, I would guess that it's yellow pee from MATY. Perhaps the other posters in this thread can confirm/deny its existence in their games.

The second attempt is nice and compact, quashing the behavior before it happens. That's a good way to do an autonomy-killing mod.

I appreciate your input.

However, I'd really prefer if at least one person tried it out and reported back before I change the mod officially. Anybody? Please?

"No Autonomy" mods are notoriously difficult to test. You have to wonder if the mod is quashing the behavior or if you're just not observing it.

Your first mod had a cloned OBJD, 10 behavior functions (including non-referenced called trees) and a bunch of other unnecessary things that can cause conflicts.
From what I can tell, the thing you changed to prevent the licking was just to pull the option from the pie menu.

The second one is beautiful- one test BHAV, the only one that matters- that returns false.
There is nothing that conflict with anything.
It will work.
Trust me.

Technically, it's not an anti-autonomy mod (it's a "no more of this behavior ever" mod). It can be tested with controlpets on/off. That's how I tested the first version.

But very well.

Well, tested it and it crashed my game.

No, just kidding.
I have every SP and EP. Here is a dog unable to lick a puddle:

Looks like it works.

I'm having the same problem again--as soon as a puddle is mopped, it reappears. In lots (like apartments) where you can't move/delete stuff outside of your own, it's making environment scores nose-dive. I had to Boolprop and force error to get the puddles to go away.

As soon as I took this out the puddles were moppable again (though the ones still there were still unmoppable)

That's got to be related to another mod, Deastrumquodvicis. Reaper's version 2 has absolutely nothing to do with mopping. Did you delete your groups.cache file after removing the old version?
