View Full Version : TOMB HELP PLEASE - triggering multiple events with 1 input

Here is my set up ..

Trigger (say a pressure plate) goes to Input 0 on the processor. Output 0 through Output 7 are all fire traps that are visible and firing when the sim enters the room. The input is Step On, the Output is Destroy. I want all 8 traps to shut off with stepping on 1 pressure plate. My logic gate is set to And. All other settings are default.

Here is my problem. The sim steps on the pressure plate and ONLY the fire trap associated with Output 0 shuts off. Nothing else happens.

How do I fix this?

God Bless,
mik

Editted: Wire all the traps to Out 0 and it should work fine

ok so this is actually my third reply to this and ive sortof given you the first 2 without thinking first... but the rules of tomb making are pretty simple, you can have as many objects as you want triggered from 1 switch, the processor is used when you want multiple objects to trigger a single switch.

to solve your problem place the hidden switch and place all the traps, csl the switch and say link triggers - hidden switch, then take trap 1 and csl, set it to link to activated behavior - destroy, then repeat the process on the switch, then the next trap and so on. you dont need to place multiple hidden switches, just set the same switch like its a fresh on everytime to the next switch. once youre done you can mouse over it and it should have purple/pinkish lines running to each trap
