Mod The Sims - Missing Window Colors for OFB windows (Sims 2)

Very strange issue, and no help for YEARS from EA, so trying here. For some reason, several of the OFB windows are totally missing all but one color. The Embrasure by Ergo, The Pythagoras, The Breech by Ergo, The Artefact by Ergo, and the Intake by Ergo - should come in red, white, black, primary blue, and primary yellow, to match the doors, but all I have is red for the windows. The door colors are all fine. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, with no custom stuff, more than once - didn't help at all, and caused other issues (see missing neighborhood thread...). When this happened, had very little custom stuff, just a few things from lots from the Sims 2 site, and no hacks at all. Even a clean install, without any of that, didn't fix this. Checked all over the place online, here and elsewhere, for literally YEARS, looking for a solution, but nothing thus far. Recently, even downloaded some recolors for two of those windows, and the recolors don't show up either. Just the bloody red. Driving me nuts, and ruined the look of some businesses I built, that were using windows in colors NOT red. Help desperately needed here. Don't know what else to try, if a new installation and no custom at all didn't fix it. Has to be something in the game files messed up, and no idea why they can't make a patch for this. Have all of those as well. Know there are some great minds here, with some great content and ideas, so asking here. Didn't see this addressed anywhere else, so hoping this isn't a dup thread. So, help, anyone?

I do have Apartment Life (all the expansions, actually), but I also have what is supposed to be the latest CEP. When this happened, don't believe I had one at all. Happens in all neighborhoods, too.

From what I've seen, the "red only" issue with the OFB windows is typically a symptom of having Apartment Life and an outdated CEP installed.

But your profile does not indicate that you have AL and you say have tried a complete reinstall with no CC. Perhaps that is not the cause of your problem, but I mention it just in case. *shrug* Hopefully someone has an answer for you.
