A mod to stop party invitations where the host isn't (going to be) home?

I don't know if it's a problem with the way I've set up neighbourhoods but it seems that 2 out of 3 times my sims accept invites to the parties they turn to find an empty house with no sign of the host.

My search-fu has failed me so does anyone know of a mod that stops invitations being issued if there's no chance that the host will be able to be there to actually hold the party?

I don't know about a mod but for me resetsim of the host or one of the family members to bring him/her back home will make the party happen.

The problem I have is that one of the guests you've invited to your party decides to throw a party of their own and invites your sim.. :faceslap:

And then you get a call about how they missed them at the party.. No shit.. For real?
