Sims reverting back into toddlers

I have been having this problem for a few months (so far this has happened to children and adults, no teens):

Sim transitions into next life stage, sometimes they revert back into toddlers while I'm playing the household but usually its after saving/quitting then coming back into it.

I have uninstalled everything than reinstalled and patched.
The first time I went to play the new game was at the Broke household. Beau aged into a child....it was late so I saved and quit. When I started playing them the next day he's still doing what he was doing when I quit- building his stats while sitting in a chair- only he's a stretched skeletal toddler.

I took out the downloads and saved sims- went back and he's still a skeletal toddler.
I tried moveobjects on and deleted him, went back and he's now a floating regular toddler.

This is exactly the same problem repeating itself in my brand new game!

I haven't been able to find anyone who has had this particular issue and had it resolved.

Please do all the steps in the Game Problem faq which includes patching and creating a fresh set of user files. Let us know how that goes and if your problem is fixed.
