So, once upon a time I started out on a quest to make sims for all of the Sailor Scouts. The only problem I ran into is that I can't seem to get Sailor Jupiter to look right. I'm striving to make each of the scouts have an individual look (since they are different people) but one thing I am struggling with is that it's difficult to make a brunette look... Well, really Asian. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Nice start! You might look at pictures of Asian women for reference. However, I think the nose needs to be much less defined and, maybe, shorter.

After looking at Liu Yifei for a little bit of guidance, this is what I came up with:

I included the view with black hair because (for some reason) hair color really affects how she appears. Any other suggestions, or does she finally look like she belongs in a Japanese setting?

I think she looks fantastic. However, if you're looking to make her look even more Asian, perhaps you should use a different CC skin? LadyFrontbum has a fantastic face replacement (non-default available) here: http://www.ladyfrontbum.com/?category_name=genetics

However, I honestly think she looks good as-is without the skin; just throwing it out there in case you're interested.

Edit: Wait, are you using the skin already? I *really* need to find my glasses.
Perhaps my opinion isn't the best at the moment. I think she looks good without my glasses though.

The funny thing is that she currently has that exact skin on. It's just not showing up as well on her. Thank you, though, for the recommendation. :D And I think just tweaking her nose and eyes really helped her appearance a lot. I'm just not sure it was enough. Heh.

I think the original looks more like the character to be honest.

The original was rejected for not being Asian enough

I would change those eyebrows to something less arched :)
Asians usually have less wider upper lip and smaller nose, but that's not a big deal. However, I have noticed one thing, your inner eye corners are too low, they make her look a bit "too much trying to look Asian". Look for some pictures and you will notice that Asians have quite similar inner eye corners to Indo-European people. The biggest difference perhaps would be that their eyelids are very unnoticeable and outer eye corners are higher.
Good luck with your job ;)

I am not sure if this is going to help you.

Myuu Azama plays Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter) in a musical in Japan.

Here is a link to a picture and her bio http://wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Mew_Azama :heyhey:

She is also quite popular and pretty so it is quite easy to find photos of her. Here is a picture http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRcn60G3yPfFsuhfgK-oCBNdRiRWh1HhY0aLzW5V4hP242DNNDC :p

If you going to sim a real person that based on Makoto, you may as well sim the actress :sheep:

I like the changes and agree with many of the comments above. I think that the outer eye corners are tilted up too much, even for an Asian person. Also, many Asian people have more round faces so you might want to experiment with a more square chin and/or lowering/widening the jaw. I know that is not consistant with the reference picture but think you are trying to make the sim more oriental, not like the reference model. If I'm wrong, please disregard. Nice work!
