Are you saying you're going to create those worlds?
Would be a huge task, but would be really good.
Good luck with them :)

If we can get enough world ideas, I could make a sticky post like the one for Lot ideas.

I thought there was one already for worlds here, oh well. Might as well continue the list then.
- Ancient Rome, Egypt, etc
- Kind of modern or contemporary style neighborhoods (Example: Mawson Lakes, http://www.mawsonlakes.com.au/)
- Suburbs or towns in you own area or cities that are around the world.
- Game worlds (Pokemon, Zelda, Grand Theft Auto, etc.)
- Sims world remakes (Things like Pleasentview, Strangetown, Old town, etc.). Think broad, maybe try doing the town from TS3 on Wii or combining some of the maps from TS2 on console to make a world.
- Different planets. From my understanding, by changing the ini files you can customise the sky and stuff so then you can give it its own atmosphere.
- Vacation based worlds to go with Twallen's The Traveler.
Thought I would have been able to list more, oh well

There are so many worlds which can be done, it's sort of hard to figure out how anyone could run out of ideas.
First of all, there are thousands of real life cities which could be made. We still don't have a good London. While Sims Key's Paris has been done, there certainly is room for a better Paris. We have a New York in beta, and a couple of LA's, but how about San Francisco, Chicago or Dallas. New Orleans has yet to be done.
Smaller cities could be quite interesting -- places like Cleveland, Indianapolis, Nashville...
Then there are the cities which no one ever thinks of, but are really quite interesting. Places like Hong Kong, Gibralter, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. I don't recall seeing any Spanish cities like Barcelona, Cordova or Madrid. But even smaller Spanish cities like Segovia or Toledo are interesting.
Then there's stuff from fiction and science fiction: Victorian London, Revolotionary France, Terra Nova or a New Earth on another planet. Just start watching Star Treck episodes for ideas. Or Stargate.

Oh, I'd forgotten! I did a search and found this one:

Still, continue to post ideas here, and we can refer to the old thread also.

Well currently IN progress for me are these ideas:
Space Western/Mining town (think some of the worlds visited in Firefly, though there's also anime, like Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop that can apply)
Gothic/Victorian small town (a small map island for me, planning to sort it for last month's theme if I get back computer it is on!)
Victorian/turn of century industrial town- not a real/big city like London, but something like a small city/town that sprang up around some mining area then started to dry up.. lots of grunge/pollution issues.
Planned/semi-started:
Retro-future space colony, maybe lunar. By 'retro-future' I mean not so much what MODERN people may think of futuristic, but more like what they pictured in the 40's and 50's...
Girl Genius's Mechanicsburg - I am a SUPER HUGE fan of Girl Genius, but have been putting off more than basic map for this because I am terrible at building the right kinds of buildings, and because it'll actually take new CC that would need making (the trilobyte design that is scattered around). I feel bad about having this on back burner, because over a year ago I asked the authors of the comic if I could make/use their chars and settings, and they not only agreed but were totally enthusiastic and wanted to SEE the result after O_o (I started a community/social for it but haven't been there myself in forever)
Other ideas:
Mayan city- there's now more and more good maps and renderings of how such cities were set up, so layout is easier to learn if not to pull off
Southwestern US Themed - something like an early Spanish village, with more native style settlements, it'd be neat to see if someone could pull off cliff dwellings. I'd picture such a world as not really having roads, and no cars, especially now that horses are around
Ancient Roman city- coliseum instead of stadium, neighborhood pools as 'baths', etc
Something inspired by Machu Picchu in Peru
Real cities I think would be interesting to try basing a world off: Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, Dubai, Seattle, San Antonio
The island/port that Swan was governor of in first Pirates of the Carribean
Set of islands like a South Pacific archipelago (Kiwi_tea did this in a way, but wondering if smaller connected islands would be feasible...

Terra Nova personally gets my vote.
Imagine being able to edit the pets files to create dinosaurs that spawn instead.
If only I could program...that would be awesome

I Love the circular colony in TerraNova. I've dabbled with the idea of recreating Ankh Morpork from Discworld but I suck at building. On my to do list is Australia and New Zealand if I can work out transferring the height map from google earth. I like creating maps but I suck at the building side so I give up and start something else.

Okay, these ideas are great! Let's start a list- post them here:
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=460191
If you keep the discussion to a minimum in that thread then it will be easier for people to see your ideas.
Put them in a list so it's easy to read. :)
