When I click on a sim/object/area, the action box that appears doesn't stay up long enough for me to choose the action. It flashes. Everything else seems to be running fine!
I already tried re-installing it, but nothing seems to work. Any help?

Reinstalling is the last thing to try, and is seldom the solution. Try this instead:

In the past, I've seen this caused by one of two things: either a dodgy driver update for a laptop touchpad, or phantom keystrokes. The latter is far more likely, so the first thing to try is using a different mouse and keyboard (though since you don't need the keyboard for most of TS2, you could just unplug it and play without), as a test to see if the problem persists.
Are you using a desktop or a laptop? if the latter, do you use the touchpad or a mouse?

You can also make sure the mouse is calibrated properly and not giving you double clicks.
(Which happened to me. I still hesitate to try measuring terrain adjustment in "clicks")

Ok, so what happens when you use a USB mouse and keyboard instead?
