Game freezing every few minutes

HI my game freezes every few minutes in game time, my time 10 seconds.
I accually tought it was a graphics problem so I bought a new one that said yes to pets sins thats what I'm playing. I had no problems in the beginning but after playing a few days it started.

I have tried without CC, mods.
I have un- and reinstalled.
Is still happends al the time it makes me crazy.
I also have updated all my drivers and everything.

this time I just saw a few birds just outside my lot and it just freezes every ten minutes in the game. Dont know if they are the problem but what ever it is nothing is working.

I downloaded errortrap/Overwatch and it didnt show up in my game.

Please help me...

Is this just limited to one world/ savegame? If so then it could be a routing issue with that world. Anyway, try the links above to see if they help at all.

I've read them and the problems are everything runs fine exept when just playing, the sim isnt doing anything special just eating, using facilites walking and it freezes.
And I read the pages you recomemended and the overwatch I have tried and it did not show up in the game and I tried to find out why but never got any response.
SO the problem is that I dont have those problems with specific things its just playing that is making everything freeze.
I am playing in the world that came with pets, I have tried to delete all the save files and start over and then it works fien for a couple of times when I play but coems back after a while.

Haven't installed CC before ever, and no CC ever show up or just these 2 don't have their Nraas menus?
If you have installed the CC Framework via this FAQ Game Help:Installing Sims 3 Package Files, do those 2 included test files work?

If you have updated drivers why are the driver dates showing 2011 and 2008 respectively?
What packs do you have? The 3GB RAM may not be enough for the resource-intensive EPs like AMB / GEN / PETS.
And you're already at patch 1.29, yes? To be able to use Nraas mods...

No Idea why it says that since it clearly says in my system spec that I hav 4GB RAM.. I recently baught and installed so I have 4GB not three.. every where in my computer it says 4, why it says 3 there I have no idea.. looking at it right now.

And I have donwloaded Overwatch and installed and it does not show up in my game. No I idea why the drivers say that because I have updated all the once that need updates. (manually and automatic)

I have CC and mods installed all other mods show up but not overwatch. I have written on those forums but they have no answer why it does not show up.

32 bit I think, may I ask why?
do you know why it says I have 4 GB RAM but here it says only 3GB. I have bought it with 4 GB, is something wrong?? Do I need more RAM now?

32-bit OSes can only handle up to 4GB of RAM maximum; you have 1GB of dedicated memory on your graphics card, so 4GB maximum - 1GB on graphics card = 3GB of regular RAM used.

If you updated your drivers automatically using any part of Windows, that could be part of the problem. If you're having difficulties, uninstall the driver, reboot, then install the new one. You should definitely try that for the audio; the graphics drivers may be the most up-to-date, if there hasn't been a new release recently.

well I dont uses the audio when playing at all, (might sound strange but dont have any speekers in my screen and the sound I use for the tv so no sound while playing.
could that still affect the playing quality?
the graphic drivers there arent any new double checked today.

Yes my graphic card has 1GB, so I am still using 4 combined or 3 combined, while playing I mean?
Do you see the need to buy more RAM and have all the trouble of upgrading to 64bits? could this be the problem that causes my game to freeze?
I have once again this weekend uninstalled and reinstalled the game, just dont know what the problem is.

Thanks for helping out everyone who did, I accually got a response from EA support after asking them one month ago. That this is a known problem that the latest patch has caused som people, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and will not update to the latest until I know its safe.

I was having this problem too, i think its one of the town glitches with sims getting stuck everywhere, What fixed it for me was opening the console and unsticking all sims, I did have to repeat this every few sim days till it stopped, but its Shift+Ctrl+Alt+c (or windows key depending), then typing resetsim * (space between sim and the *) Hopefully that will at least help some till you find a more permanent fix. Just remember it does reset every single sim in the town!

Well since I reinstalled and didnt update my problems have stopped.
The people I talked to at EA said that this is a known problem with the patch.
But this reset sim thing does it do anything special? never used it before.
