Realism vs. Fake

So, I've come back to this wonderful group I've made, to enlighten people about what it takes to be Real and Fake.

Movies rely on what they think they know. Making Vampires sparkle, or making Vampires burn in the course of the sun. Now, that may be true in the depictions of movies, but what about real life vampires? When I bring this up, I am speaking of:

Hungarian Countess Erzsebet Bathory

Vlad the Impaler

These two were the most inhumane people to walk the course of the earth. They didn't just pick one race, or one gender, or one group of people. They picked on everyone. One claimed blood would keep them forever young, and the other took revenge upon the Turks. These two people were known as real Vampires. Though historians will say otherwise, they did drink Human blood.

Well they would count as real vampires, and they were as dangerous as a vampire is arguably (without being super powered of course).

They killed so many people, its unreal. Erzsebet killed her victims in such an inhumane way, its scary. I never knew a person could go that harsh, and that bad, within a few years, and killing that many people. Some would say she did find the fountain of youth

What about "Bloody Mary?"

Bloody Mary, she did kill a lot of people. But I do not know if she drank blood. I know that the Blood Countess (Erzsebet Bathory) did, and she even bathed in the blood. However, Bloody Mary did have some people maimed, and she did kill a lot of people in more ways than one. I honestly, can't remember how many lives she had taken.

I hate the vampires sparkle one as I think it is well stupid. I support the more Bram Stoker and some non twligiht vampire theroys.

Well, real Vampires actually drank HUMAN blood, not animal blood. Where would be the fun in that? Human blood was the base story in every single movie, or book. Not lets drink deer blood to just give a little fix here and there.

Real Vampires were the ones people ran away from. Put garlic around their doors and windows. Had a stake in their hand when they went to sleep at night. Now, those were REAL Vampires. Not the ones were they came out during the day and they sparkled galore.

Well, these depictions of Vampires lately, are super lame. I asked my friend if she was a Vampire what kind would she want to be.

She said a Cullen type, because I can walk in the daylight.

And I replied, I would want to be a real Vampire, I will just find SPF 1000, and I will be in the sun with you. Only difference I won't be sparkling, I would be pulling a Blade, and I will be standing in the sun ;)

My friend agrees with me that Twilight vamps are stupid although she is crazy adout aliens at the moment.

Aliens are cool, though. Everything that has be represented as something scary has now been turned into a comedy. For instance:

Anne Rice Vampires or even Blade or even Underworld, people were actually scared to meet those kind of Vampires. Why? Because they would actually kill you, not be your best friend. How did Vampires become a joke? Stephanie Meyer's adaptation Twilight, and the movie Vampires Suck.

Now lets go to Aliens. Independence Day, War of the Worlds. When seeing those people were scared of Aliens, thinking that oh shit we are going to be abducted. But Paul comes out, and makes us laugh about them.

Here is the thing, us humans, we have no respect whatsoever. Here is my opinion. If I saw Vlad or Erzsebet in a dark alley. I wouldn't ask:

"If you go in the daylight, do you sparkle?"

Because more than likely those would be my last words.

That was hilarious. About aliens, they scare me majorly. They are easily more uncertain than vampires and thus more dangerous or creepy. Vampires are human, aliens are alien.

How can Aliens be scary?! Sure they are the unknown. I am going to be like K from Men in Black, I am going to bring Aliens some flowers. Either the following will happen:

A) The said Alien will reject them, and vaporize me.

OR

B) Accept them and we have peace.

I was never afraid of Aliens. They are simply part of the unknown, and many people are scared of the Unknown. Its rather sad :(

Their is alot of things out their in space and not all them want to make peace. I am a fan of doctor who apart from that one episode whic was called "Vampires in Venice" that was not as great as it sounds.

That is true. But we can't know for certain what the majority of those beings will and will not want peace, at all. It's sad, really. I just wish that we could know more of what is out there, you know?

Did you know that Erzsebet would torture her victims even when she was sick in bed?

Didn't she whip them. She would bite so hard on their neck, and ripped away their flesh. She wasn't the nicest woman alive. She tortured when she was sick. She would even go out in the cold, to get a victim that managed to escape

Now, that may be true in the depictions of movies, but what about real life vampires?"Real life" vampires are nothing special. You probably know a few: Odd living habits, nocturnal activity cycle, dislike of daylight, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, etc. This was basically enough to make superstitious peasants decide you had other unsavory behaviors, like drinking blood (which you may or may not actually do). For instance, folklore holds that vampires were obsessed with counting. You can see this particular pattern in none other than Count von Count. Today, we consider this less a sign of vampirism and more a sign of OCD. Basically, everything people thought was a vampire can be summarized in two categories: Mental and physical abnormalities and the behavior of a decomposing corpse. When a dude turns slightly reddish after death, that's not vampirism, that's just his blood pooling in the extremities and congealing.

In fact, most of what is presently believed about vampires was basically made up starting around the end of the 19th century. Prior to that point, vampires were just ugly, horrible, and weird, and not at all cool or sexy. Most of what people believe NOW is made up even more recently. Dracula, for instance, was not harmed by sunlight, it was just kind of annoying. The entire "sunlight harms vampires" thing was an aglommeration of totally unrelated things. "Vampires" and "werewolves" aren't even distinct critters, just a lumping of things that go bump in the night. See "vrykolakas".

In short, peasants are superstitious and believe weird shit about people who aren't normal, as well as people who are dead.

I was watching this show called "Deadly Women" and of the ladies that profiling. She even said:

"Elizabeth Bathory will go down as the worse serial killer of all time"

She did more inhumane things that can not be even described. In fact.

There was a girl (her victim) that escaped, Erzsebet ran after her, and put her in a small cage. So small to stand and to slender to sit. They hoisted the cage on a rope. The girl was headed towards spikes, and the guy hoisting her, ended up tweaking the cage to were the girl was impaled and
killed. Some of the people she tortured she would torture for days, and days on end. She didn't stop.

She even had sex with her victims, if they found it not pleasuring enough, she tortured them and killed them. If they did, she still killed them. This woman wasn't right in the mind. And she was female. A female! No one would ever expect that someone with a Royal title. She killed not only in Hungary but in Romania as well. She was insane, completely.

And she would write in her diary, every little detail of how she killed them. That was retrieved. And in that little diary over 650 people's names was written, showing that there could have been more.

Honestly if I were to be in a dark alley, and I saw Erzsebet or Marquis, I would be running from Erzsebet. Because that woman wouldn't stop, until she was in the tub beneath my bleeding corpse. She didn't stop once, not until she was caught. And then she died in her tower. That was her imprisonment. She was locked away in her tower, to die. And she did, four and half years later.

And she was only tried for 80 of those deaths, and after they convicted her, thats when they found out there was a lot more. A lot a lot more.

I don't know who would want to mess with her. I mean heck, I would be scared to just go and see the castle she died in. Could you imagine, if you are sensitive to paranormal, such as ghosts. I am due to my heightened sixth sense. Anyway, could you imagine hearing the screams? Hearing the tortured howls of her victims? That would freaking scare me, or seeing her spirit...I am getting chills thinking about it.

I would like to see it and if I see her spirit I would capture it and realise at my school so it would casue trouble.

How in the world would you capture her spirit?

Eiether in a jam jar or use that umbrella ghost capture thing from ghost hunter. A tv show adout ghosts who or tring to avoid or free those captured by the ghost the hunter with the help of two kids. It was on the tv when I was young and I cannot remeber much it but it was a good show to watch.

The only way I can see anyone trapping her spirit is if someone was a Ghost Buster and had that machine where they kept ghosts. I am not sure a Jam Jar would work, due to the fact, she would get out o.O

Its just about women that kill. And for some reason there are more deaths from "Arsenic" than anything.

Arsenic is probably cheap and cheerful to kill people.

Well back in the day, you could buy it over the counter. But when all the "homicides" began to happen, then that idea of selling it, wasn't such a good idea anymore. So, they stopped selling it all together. You can no longer buy Arsenic. Which is probably a good thing.

I know and it is a good thing but it must be harder to get hold of if you need it.

Actually, you can't get a hold of it anymore. Its now illegal. And even if it was "legal" I doubt even then it would be easy to get a hold of. Because of what it was used for, instead its intended purposes.

All to ture but I have question, could it kill vampires according twilight?

No. At least I highly doubt it. Vampires have a different body chemistry. So, I truthfully highly doubt that a Vampire could die from Arsenic.

So do I but according to the "twilight vamps" they can bie anyway but I am a fan of more of the orignal vampires (dracula and underwolrd) vamps and vamps like that but no twilight vamps.

Twilight Vampires? They are not Vampires. Honestly, if I was a Vampire, I would burn. I am sorry, but those are REAL vampires. Hearing the hissing of the sun burning my flesh. o.O Do not ask. But yes, Twilight Vampires MAY die from it. But REAL Vampires will not :P

A fellow twilight hater!!! I hate this film and I think that when the fans of round my age grow up they will hopefully realise what a rubbish game this is. Every vampire in it should die and I have talked with an author of the morganville vampire seris, Rachel Caine and she agrees with me adout twilight being awful and I want kill that BELLA SWAN. SHE IS WORSE THAN ... I'm sorry but wtilight makes me so angry and some of my friends like it and if you allowed to post it I would tell you what a fan said to me when I said that hate you could see why my hatred for twlight and the fans who are in love with it.

I just don't get how Vampires can sparkle, I was like reading the book at one point and when Edward said:

"This is a skin of a monster"

I was like:

"Yes, those diamond like skin as me shaking in my boots. Oh yes. So monster like."

Plus they hunt animals to "satisfy" their thirst, yet doesn't really. COME ON! Real Vampires shrug and attack a human. Mhm. Bella Swan is a player and a ho. Enough said.
