First, I have no problems with this sight! Wouldn't even play Sim games without places like this! This is one of my best places to find everything I never knew I needed in my game...and them some.

I do need help with another site(s) though. Since getting a new computer and changing from dial up to satellite almost a year ago, I have been unable to stay connected to a few sites for more than a few minutes, if even that long. The sites are Insim, ISA. also 2 others. The error is a common one....connection timed out, server reset, check this or that......blaa,blaa. I've tried everything, read everything.

Over the holidays I had two hard drive failures and a couple other mishaps and ALL my sim things are unretrievable. Now I'm desperate to get to Insim and ISA!!

My ISP is Wildblue and I read today that the problem may be that ISA and Insim reject the WildBlue domain? They say to contact the web site admins...I will try figure a way to do that if needed, but my question here is:

Does anyone here have WildBlue satellite service and issues with staying connected to Insim or ISA??? Or is the advice I've been given just another dead end?

would be very happy to hear anyone's input on this!

Your problem is that you have Wildblue, and if I were you, I'd try to get out of the contract, if you can. My contract is up, thank God, this month, and I'll be able to go on DSL. Sattelite Internet companies use FAP, or DAP, and this is a 'cap' that is artificially placed on your usage. If you go over your 'fap' or 'dap', they slow you down. This is why you're having a hard time connecting to sites on the net. I don't know what package speed you have, I am on the lowest (cheapest) tier, and I found out to my horror after getting Wildblue that I'm very limited on what I can download, if at all. The information you were given is bogus. Wildblue is the problem, not those websites. Google Wildblue, and go on their forum, and you'll see how hated it is. Hope this has helped you, and good luck.

Thanks, bjean!

I do know all about the pros and cons of Wildblue. I don't "love" it but I don't "hate" it either. I live out in the sticks and my only choice's for now, are dial up and satellite. I monitor my usage on a daily basis and never go over, or close to the limit. While I'm not happy with the limits on downloading, I can deal with it til our area comes out of the stone age.

I don't actually have problems connecting to most sites, only a select few(3, possibly4)......which has made me CRAZY for quite sometime. Lots of people have this problem with some sites, nothing to do with Wildblue, but there isn't a definitive answer to fix it, I've spent waaay too much time trying to figure it out.

I pretty much gave up on trying to get back on ISA and Insim until I read about some websites unintentionally blocking Wildblue. Just looking for a glimmer of hope since all my downloads from there are gone now!
