Previewing in Milkshape

I am trying to view my recolors in milkshape, and the textures aren't showing up at all.

I was able to do it, then my OS crashed and i had to reinstall my windows, I went from Vista to 7 and now i cannot get any texture colors to show in milkshape.

Please help or point in the right directions to search for help!

At what point exactly does it not work?

i can inport the file and a pic of it shows in white only, I select in group, in materials I select new, find the texture and assign and there's still no texture, it's all white.

Does that help? I will post a pic if you need it.

I am using 1.8.5 version of milkshape

And you remember to change the view from Smooth Shaded to Textured in the window that comes up when you right-click the model?
