I THINK this is the correct forum to ask... but please let me know if it's not... although I don't know how to or if I can move my own thread lol.
So I was just curious, how different is the modding for these two games? I don't plan on doing my own mods but like I said, just curious.
It's just that I noticed this when looking at some CC for both versions (and I'm not completely sure how to word this):
1. The Sims 2 has a lot more CC, but that seems to be a given considering how much older it is, although that's the only reason I know of.
2. In The Sims 2 CC I can see that a lot of the CC Sims you can download (like real life celebrities and my favorite, people from my favorite anime's ^^) looks authentically "hand made", as in they look like they're made from scratch. There are a lot of beautiful CC Sims I've seen but sometimes it seems like a lot are just CAS look-alikes.
I do NOT mean to offend anyone and I don't imply in any way that CC Sims for Sims 3 are lousy or really just CAS look-alikes. I really am sorry if anyone takes that the wrong way because I know you guys work hard on your mods. It's just what I've been wondering lately.
I also read that of course we still have things to learn about the Sims 3 which is another reason there is less CC than Sims 2.

I'm really curious on this subject as I stated because I anticipate the day when maybe I can actually find my Naruto Sims :D But that's why I ask all of this, because I'd like to know how different it is, because depending on the ways and variations of differences I can also try to guess whether we can get the almost TOO real "twins" like we have in Sims 2 :D I only mean that for certain people of course, because there are definitely great twins for Sims 3... But I've yet to find some of the Akatsuki members for Sims 3... lol
