Accept button won't work with Create-a-Sim

So my Sims just turned from a young adult to an adult and he had different hair then what I wanted. So I went and had him go to the mirror and change his hair. No problem. CaS loads up, I change the hair, everything's good. Except I can't accept, or close, or options, or anything except for going to store mode. Anyone know how to help? It'd be greatly appreciated.

*Update* I've just realized that all of my Sims are missing their lifetime wants....don't know if this is an indicator for anything

Sims 3 - Incompatible CC
Every time you patch or install a new EP, most of your hacks will need to be updated or removed. If you are having any kind of problem and you've just patched or installed a new EP, remove all your custom content and delete your cache files (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files). Then, unless the problem is specific to one sim or lot, make a new town and see if the issue occurs there too.

If, having done so, the issue is fixed, then you have some incompatible CC. Any hacks - things which change the game's behaviour - are likely suspects and should be updated or removed; things like objects, clothes, hairs etc are generally safe.

The issue is with all of my Sims, whether they're in the same neighborhood or not. The accept button messes up CaS and my Sims are missing their lifetime wants

Yes, I'm aware of what you're missing.
So, have you done the Problem FAQ? What's the status, then? Even after step#3, on new game and no CC, the Lifetime Wants are still missing?

What patch version is the base game on?
