Game has stopped working in middle of game play

I just got a new computer and downloaded all my expansions. While im in the middle of game play, right after the town has loaded, I get a message from my computer saying "game has stopped working", and the game completely exits out/crashes. I dont know what to do. Anyone have any ideas?
