Toshiba Satellite P750/15D
$1193 - PRICE ATTACKER

The latest variant of the P750 series certainly brings the goods, and it has double the RAM of almost all alternatives.
While the lack of a Blu-ray player precludes the 15.6in Toshiba Satellite P750/15D, for $1,299 it still has a pretty beefy set of specs that make it a high-end all rounder. In addition to a strong mid-range dedicated graphics card and a fast 2nd Gen Intel Core i7, it has a massive 8GB of RAM and a TV tuner.
This means you can watch or record live TV on the P750, a handy bit of functionality that sets the P750 apart from many otherwise equal allrounders.

Processor :deal:
The P750 features a 2nd Gen Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.2GHz), a high-end processor that can run intensive software and productivity applications without any difficulty. It can burst up to 3.1GHz using Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology if a particularly demanding program is running.

Graphics :deal:
It comes with a dedicated graphics card called the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M. It’s one of the better mid-range offerings from NVIDIA, and it will be able to handle most modern games at medium to high settings.

RAM :deal:
8GB of RAM is enough to either run many programs at once fluidly or run very intensive image and video editing software.

Storage
A 640GB hard disk drive is large enough for important files along with plenty of programs and documents.

Screen
The P750 sports a 15.6in (1,366 x 768 resolution) gloss screen. The gloss screen should have better colour richness when compared to a matte screen, but the reflectiveness will make it a bit difficult to use in direct sunlight.

Portability
The P750 has average portability, because it weighs 2.6kg and is 35.6mm thick. It'll be straightforward to carry around.

Other Features
The P750 has a TV tuner, which makes it possible to watch live TV on the P750 and also to record live TV to the P750’s storage.

Perhaps it would help if you told us what you plan to do with this computer. TS2? TS3? Other games? Which ones?

Ohh sorry Mootilda, I will use this computer to play TS3, GTA IV, (GTA V - COMING SOON) and Flight Simulator X.

You've been directed to the SysReq page numerous times in your other threads, so you need to do more research. What colors does that card have for TS3? The link is in the sticky or my signature, if you need a reminder. If there's no exact model# (because that is a laptop version and wiki is for desktop models), then you estimate.

Means you also need to do the same research for the other games you play. A quick Google informed me, for GTA IV, recommended Graphics is Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 or 512MB ATI 3870Now, that game was released in 2008, so you compare the hierarchy/benchmark placements of cards of that calibre then, versus the GT540 now. And the projection for GTA V is similar, though it may yet change when it's released. It may run and play OK for a while, in the beginning while it is still new and shiny, but not for the long term. Unless you can hit your parents up for a new laptop every couple of years, that is. :) Then, lucky you!

It may be OK for a low resolution but not if you play fullscreen on the laptop's resolution, and definitely not on ALL high settings.
There's no need to take my word for it of course, the numbers speak for themselves (see image). http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
Do remember, these FPS values are for unpatched base games, only. So requirements are going to increase as you add more add-ons or patch.

Thank you ellacharm3d, I will wait for more updates for laptop upgrades next two months =)

For GTA IV, I will setup like this, well I will use 1.0.4.0 patch and that's a good patch to run GTA IV than other patches =)
