View Full Version : My game keeps lagging, crashing, and Sims 3 packs won't work

I have rid myself of bad CC (although it does seem to play okay with no CC, still crashes though, DEP is set, graphics adjusted to as low as possible, deleted caches, used the dashboard as well. I guess this is where I post my system specs. My drivers have been updated as of yesterday. Please help.

What EPs do you have? Your graphics card is listed as maybe with pets, and pets upped the RAM requirement to 4 gigs (you only have 3). If you don't have pets, your specs are fine, and not too bad with pets (although possibly the cause of your issues).

Work through the Crashing Checklist (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Crashing_Checklist) and provide us with all the information it asks for if you can't get your game working.

I do not have pets. I do have SHT, HELS, Ambitions, Late Night, World Adventures, and the base game. All updated to the most recent patch.

I do not have pets. I do have SHT, HELS, Ambitions, Late Night, World Adventures, and the base game. All updated to the most recent patch.

Showtime is the latest EP, which means that it will have at least the system requirements- possibly more- of pets.

I think the game is probaby crashing due to your low amount of RAM. Have you tested with a fresh set of user files?

Showtime is the latest EP, which means that it will have at least the system requirements- possibly more- of pets.

I think the game is probaby crashing due to your low amount of RAM. Have you tested with a fresh set of user files?

I tested with a fresh set of files. Seems to be working.

That means something in your user files was causing a problem- maybe a cache, maybe a piece of CC, maybe something else! If yu want to add your custom content or savegames back, add a few at a time and test so that you'll know when you find the problem file(s).

It all started with that blasted new patch. Grrrr
