Sims 2 Won't Open (Apartment Life)

OK So as I inserted the disk now as click game icon then I click Play-now I get a no disk inserted message it says please insert disk so please help

You might want to try cleaning your disk:

Are you having any problems with any other disks in that drive?

I often get that message when the disk isn't seated properly. It generally indicates something wrong with the disk/drive interaction - dirt, disk damage, a bad drive, or incomplete contact.
