Alright, yes, before I even ask this question. I have read the tutorial. So, here we go, I'll be getting the "Open For Business" expansion pack, rather soon. I know, lame that I do not have it yet. But yeah.
So, my latest expansion pack is Apartment Life, or maybe its Pets Collection. ANYWAY, I read that I have to remove my hacks, yada yada.
But if I am installing an Expansion Pack that came before Apartment Life, will I have to uninstall everything, then re-install everything? Or is it safe to say, I can install the game, patch it, then play after removing the hacks, then once the game is up and loaded, I can put the hacks back on? (Because all of the hacks I got work for all of the games)

You don't have to install in any particular order with Sims 2. I received and installed all my EPs/SPs in different order and have never had problems. Not to mention I looked it up on Google.

The reason I asked, is because I have always installed everything in order. Call it OCD, I don't care. But I do. I just wanted to make sure, because I want to make a new family :) Yeah, I get rather bored, easily. :P I just wanted to make sure that when I install OFB, that it will work, and not do something funky o.O

Like you , I always follow the 'order' cose I really don't like taking risk . But if you take the hack , then put it back . Just make sure you start a new familly . Cose if it's a saved familly....there maybe glitch if the hack is missing .
I know it's a pain...but I always re-install all over (even if it take ages ) .

Install order doesn't matter (unlike TS1) - you should be able to install OFB without any problems. However, do make a back up of your game before you install. If the installation goes wrong and rolls itself back, there's a chance you will lose everything. The issue with hacks, I think for you, will be because you have a collection pack rather than a 'true' expansion pack. I mean they're all true expansion packs, of course, but most hacks weren't made for the collections and there are issues sometimes. However, as AL is later than OFB, your AL hacks should work just fine because they work with the latest EP you have not the last installed.

Order doesn't matter. I managed to install Seasons before I installed Pets.

Alrighty. I wanted to start over. And I so don't to mess up my game. Ya know? Thank you everyone. I'll keep all of this in mind :)
