I have Awesomemod installed to allow more than 8 sims in a household, but it doesn't add their picture to the UI so its impossible to select them without right clicking, and I personally prefer to do it the easy way :P I do have 3 pets though so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I know there was some kind of mod for Sims 2 that allowed more pictures in the UI and I was wondering if theres something similar for TS3...

I think Nraas PortraitPanel (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/PortraitPanel) does what you want, however it conflicts with Awesomemod.
Workaround
PortraitPanel
This mod conflicts with Awesome's use of the same LAYO resource, and can only be installed using a custom resource.cfg Priority system
On the other hand though i have used Awesome and i had not the problem with not all sims having picture (was some time ago though, so it might have changed) , might be another mod you have that is conficting.
Try moving all others out temporay and see if they show then.

Darn. I was using Nraas Master Controller but it wouldn't let me move in sims when there were 8 in the household (I prefer moving them in rather than using add sim because then you get their household funds added) but switched to AM because you could move them in that way. =/
Thanks for the link though, I may go back to the Master Controller because theres a lot of features that I prefer over Awesomemod...

You can move in with MasterController now, though you didn't used to be able to. There may be an option you have to toggle, have a look at the documentation.

Unlike AM, MC doesn't remove EA's restriction though it has been changed to allow max 10 now i think.

Wrong mod. You want [Mover] to unlock the in-game move interactions. :)
