3GB AMD Radeon HD 7950 [Dual Bracket, DVI, HDMI, 2x mini-DP]
Okay! :-) I know you all get tired of the same old questions all the time. LOL!
I'm replacing my current desktop which has an ati hd4850 which has done and okay to very good job.
I'm not worried about the system configuraton, but I always hate picking a graphics card and always feel I have made the wrong decision AFTER the fact.
So, before I order this new beast i want to know if any one has any issues with the card. SURELY this is enough power to do the job. Not only that if someone has this card I would be interested if they have had any problems with it.
I haven't really found much in the way of reviews on this as of yet. BTW I'm also getting a 600Watt power supply so I'm fine in that department as well.
Thank you all for reading yet another is this card alright request! :-)

Which 600W PSU are you getting?
Also check this post from a guy who had a 7850: http://www.modthesims.info/m/showthread.php?t=474394. He had driver issues with The Sims 2. I don't know if AMD fixed that or not, but it's just something to be aware of.
He says later on:
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 7850 2GB graphics card is unsupported for The Sims 2. In addition to not working in my new computer it doesn't work in an old 32 bit, single core system that used to be able to run the sims with an older graphics card. If there's driver updates or I find a work around I'll be sure to come back and edit this post.

What do you want to do with the computer? Which games/what other graphics-heavy work do you plan to use it for?

The Sims 3 is the only game I play. I do mostly Oracle and other database work on it as well as a heavy duty tax and accounting program. All of that doesn't even need this card by any means. I was just stepping it up for the Sims 3. My current machine is three years old and has an early i7 in it so I'm basically upgrading for the sake of staying current and stable for my accounting and database software. I buy a new machine every three years.

If you're only playing The Sims 3 that card is way above specs, but there's no downside other than cost that I can think of atm. You're ordering the entire system pre-built from HP? If so they should be taking care of Amperage requirements. If you have problems while its still under warranty its their problem so should be fine whatever they put in :P

Hey thanks for the help! I would really like to build my own system, but I just don't have the time. When I customized this system with HP it turned out to have everything I would have put into one I would have built anyway. I figured that I would go ahead a splurge the extra money on the graphics card. I backed off the solid state boot drive this time. They just don't have enough room. My accounting software requires installing on C: as well as a few other programs and I really don't want't to buy somthing that's going to give me an immediate headache! LOL. I think 2 2tb drives will give me more than enough space. I added 16 gig of ram as well with the 6-core processor. I think I should be fine for the time being. LOL!
Neway, I'm placing the order for the unit and jumping in!

Why was my post unhelpful? =/

I guess it wasn't as helpful as it was supportive. LOL! I went ahead and ordered the machine. It either came with an amd 7570 or a 7950 so I went ahead and maxed it out on the card. If I didn't order when I did, it was going to cost me about $200 more.

Bryan - because I don't know what you will be using it for - Sims 2, or Sims 3 - I've put the changes to fix the resolution problems on the Sims 2 post. I suspect it would be similiar for Sims 3, but not having gone through the code, I can't swear by it.
