World/hood file wo'nt install

When I was trying to install the sims 3 on my computer it would install up to the hood file then it would say that it could'nt install it for some reason although in the past when I have installed it the hood/world file would install. All the others files on the disc would install all save that one file making it impossibel for game to install.

I assume you tried cleaning the disc and checking for scratches? And making sure your disc drive isn't starting to malfunction?

I have cleaned the disc and chicked the disc drive. The installer says that the file wo'nt install also.

HDD failure?
If possible try install on another computer.

Another option is to register game key in Origin, which will give you a digital copy of the disc to use.

HDD? What's that? My own laptop cannot handle the graphics and let me tell you they are dodgey on my machiene.

HDD=HardDiscDrive in other words the thing where the OS (OS=OperatingSystem like Windows or any other used) and all programs are put on.
Failure on that can give the most weird issues, and it's not always that the OS will report if it's failing.

Thanks, the one I was using for sims 3 is my bad's which is windows 7 and has had a working copy of sims 3 working on it in the past.
