My family's female Corgi got pregnant and eventually gave birth to four puppies. I only wanted to keep one, so I put the others up for adoption. When I saved/quit my game and came back to it the next day, the puppy I'd kept was totally gone. She wasn't running around the house, she wasn't playable, she wasn't even listed as a member of the family/household in the sidebar. She completely disappeared from my game. Yet everyone in the house has her in their relationship panels, and she shows up in the household picture when I start my game.
It's been quite a while since she was born - her mother had her litter when my generation 2 heir was in his early teen stages, and he's now almost a full-blown adult - but she's still shown as a puppy in the relationship panels and in the picture, like her age has halted in whatever dimension the game put her in when she disappeared. Which wouldn't bother me so much except the game also still recognizes her as being a part of the household even though she's not listed on the sidebar, which means she takes up a household spot and I can't have anymore kids or pets even though I have room for one more. The dogs have since had another puppy who's now an adult dog and this never happened with her, so it doesn't seem to be a recurring problem.
I have no idea what happened and I have no idea how to fix it. What can I do to either bring the puppy back or get rid of all traces of her? :/
[EDIT] Okay, so I still have no idea what happened to the puppy, like why she disappeared but was still technically part of my family, but I figured out how to get rid of her. After trying everything I could think of, I finally just gave up and let her take up one of my slots. When my oldest child went to move out of the house, she popped up in the list of people you could add to the household moving out, so I gave it a shot and moved her over there. Sure enough, it worked. I can see her again when I'm at the son's house and she's even up to the proper age she's supposed to be. And best of all I have my whole ten slots back in my main family. :)
