Jane stared at her two sisters in disbelief. “You want to know what?” she asked, setting down a tube of lip gloss.

“How do you know when a guy likes you?” Eva repeated.

“She thinks someone likes her!” Leah added, grinning.

“Seriously?” Jane asked. “I mean, is this some kind of joke?”

“Well, I kind of figured you’d know more than either of us,” Leah replied.

Jane sighed. “Fine,” she acquiesced. “I guess I do have more experience than either of you. But you know where you can get even more information from people with even more experience? The internet!” She walked over to her computer, followed by her sisters. “So, what do you want to know?”

“How to tell if a guy likes you,” Eva replied.

“Okay, no problem,” Jane responded, typing a few words into a search engine. After a few seconds, she began reading the results of the search aloud. “He’s not that into you… loves me, loves me not… leave a clone of himself with her in the alternate universe…” Jane looked up at her sisters. “Who wrote that one?” She rolled her eyes, then continued down the list. “Here we go,” she finally said. “Signs he likes you, signs he doesn’t.”

“What does it say?” Eva asked excitedly.

Jane smirked and blocked Eva’s view of the computer screen. “First, tell me who it is.”

“Come on, Jane, don’t joke like this. I need to know,” Eva pleaded, trying to see the screen.

“Nope. Come on, you can tell your big sister. I mean, he’s probably some stupid kid I have no interest in.”

“I’ll tell you who it is!” Leah giggled.

“Leah, don’t!” Eva wailed.

“Come on, Leah, tell me,” Jane demanded at the same time.

Leah smirked and replied, “Who’s going to offer me the better deal?”

“You evil little thing,” Eva whined. “You said you wouldn’t tell!”

“That was before you asked Jane for help,” Leah replied.

“Just tell me!” Jane yelled. “Or else I’ll… I’ll… eat all the cookies Mom made today.”

“Wow… I think she’s serious, Eva,” Leah whispered.

“Backstabber,” Eva shot back at her younger sister. To Jane, she said, slowly and reluctantly, “It’s Sean.”

Jane snickered. “Seriously? Sean? That’s what the big fuss is about?”

“Yeah. So, can I see the computer or not?” Eva asked.

“Sure,” Jane replied. “The info on that site sucks anyway.”

Eva glared at Jane. “I hate you,” she muttered.

“Got you to admit to who it was,” Jane responded, grinning triumphantly.
