I have been building houses again, and I was irritated by the doors only being either 1 tile wide or 2 tiles wide, so I made this 1 tile wide door that sits in the middle of 2 tiles. If you see the picture below you will see the door is in the middle of a 2 tile wide step.

The door costs 350 simoleons (half the price of the original because it is only half the size) and is recolourable.

As usual, the doors are repository technique doors and link to the original colonial door. However, the original colonial door does not match the colonial windows (come on, Maxis, make an effort, please!) see second screenshot, so for the first time I bring you a couple of recolours to match the brown and green windows. I am not very good at recolours, so here is a picture below and if you don't think they are any good do not put them in your downloads folder....BTW these recolours will work on the double door too...

If you like this door you might like the matching windows I made which can be found here on MTS2

2 tile colonial no shutters
1 tile colonial with shutters
2 tile la Fenêtre window no shutters
1 tile La Fenêtre with shutters

Some people have asked if the door works correctly (door opens, sim walks through, door closes). Answer is yes and here is my test sim walking in and out the door - he is not a happy puppy, he only ever wants to skip........

Polygon Counts:
Polys for the straight = 838
Polys for the diagonal = 838

IgnorantBliss for the Repository tutorial - without that all my stuff would be really badly coloured and of course SimPE.
