197 Third Simmington Avenue is part of a new development on the outskirts of Simton. As Simton is quite a small town the apartment blocks are similarly small and the architect wished to create apartments that could be used for starter families and singles, and with a shared area for a real sense of community.





Apartment 1 - Urban Family Living

The ground and first floor are the family apartment, with a small private garden and room for 3 sims total. Given the small amount of actual ground space available on this lot, our architects used every piece of space as efficiently as possible, so the upstairs corridor is the space for the family computer, and as the one toilet is downstairs this created space for a bath/shower installation in the upstairs bathroom. Downstairs the sitting/kitchen/dining room is decorated in contemporary style giving plenty of room for eating, cooking, reading and watching TV. John and Celia Bridge are really happy here and hope to continue to work hard on their careers whilst being good parents to young George, who is doing quite well in school. They are good friends to Cindy on the second floor, treating her as one of the family.

The other two apartments are studio style with a single bed, bathroom facilities and a kitchen dining and sitting area with easy access to the trash chutes on the balcony which also offers room for skill objects.

Apartment 2 - A Place of Her Own

This apartment was decorated by Cindy Little. She loves the colour pink, has a strong creative streak and spends her spare time on her balcony making pottery or dancing to the radio in her fully equipped kitchen. She has a good career as a game designer but really wants to meet that special someone to settle down and raise a family here in Simton. What better place to live than here in this apartment block which attracts Tech types? Surely one of them could be that special someone? Or is her destiny even closer by?

Apartment 3 - An Artists Apartment

Simton is an old fashioned kind of town, and sadly there are no elevator repair men here, so in the interests of Sim Safety Mayor Leesester has banned elevators in Simton. So this fourth floor apartment, though with magnificent views, means walking up three flights of stairs and so is a little cheaper than the others in the block and an artist has moved in. Our artist, Roderick Allen (Rick to his friends) lives for his work and it is hard to believe that his apartment is identical to Cindy's in terms of layout. Maybe meeting Cindy and seeing her gorgeous apartment will make him clean his own place up a little, and who knows what else may happen....

Please feel free to break down a wall or two and maybe give at least one of our potential lovebirds a double bed.... The apartment block has my replacement apartment doors in and are included in the rar file - please put these in your downloads folder to get the doors in game. PLEASE NOTE: there are NO SIMS in this lot - that was the story I made for the lot - you can use that one or maybe make your own

This apartment lot started off as a challenge between a small group of creators in the #create chatroom. They kindly let me join in, and here are the rules in short: start and finish on a 1x1 lot, no more than 5 usable levels, minimal CC, and room for at least 4 sims and one double bed. I loved making this lot, and tried really hard on the photos and I dedicate this lot to Loaf, LDE and Xianny. Thanks guys!
