Rustic Del Sol
Are you or your Sim tired of the daily grind? Is city life getting to you? Let's face it. The commute for any Sim is the same whether they live in the city or a rustic, mountain retreat, so why not allow them to live amongst nature away from the polluted air, the constant barrage of car horns and those really freakliy, space age dressed neighbors from downtown. What captured my build need was the attached, indoor/outdoor green house in back. I knew what I was in for to create that aspect of the lot in the Sims, but I neglected to acknowledge the amount of time the rest of the roof would take-- not hard, just tedious and time consuming. If you don't believe me try and recreate it yourself. Okay, I am a little proud of myself for it, so I hope you won't mind me gloating for a moment... there, done. Thanks. I do really like how the lot turned out. I'm not, however, satisfied with the lack of windows in the rear. Maxis' roof limitations wouldn't allow me to place windows in most of the rear, upstairs wall. I'm not altogether sure why, but I have a feeling it's because of those roof limitations. So, after the time spent getting the roof to look right the perfectionist in me said, "to heck with it" and I just let it go. Besides, if you play with walls down you'll never notice, right =) So... the amenities for the lot are... - 3 bedrooms (possibly 4 if you convert the study) - 3.5 bathrooms - large open floor plan - Great room - Family room - Indoor/Outdoor greenhouse - lush landscaping Objects Used but NOT Included: - GBG - 20 Rugs for your Sims - Set 3 - Horizons by cnj6768 - Savory Modish Chair by EarthGoddess54 - AquaPlus Shower Stall by HugeLunatic - SONO Outdoor Set (Plant #6, Plant #7) by Tolli - Shrubby Shrubs by HystericalParoxysm - Slender Birch Tree - short by Nengi65 - Magnolia Tree by Numenor - Wall Window Seamless BASIC Set by Numenor - Roaring Rugs by Simcastic Objects RECOMMENDED but NOT Included: - Metro Window Set by Tiggy027 NOTE: I've included the recolors for this lot in a separate file - "Rustic Del Sol - REC" Thanks for stopping by.
