With the recent long-awaited reboot of the Deus Ex series of games in "Deus Ex: Human Revolution", here is a reboot of my Deus Ex series of sims from two years ago on MTS. The classic First Person Shooter/RPG/Adventure game hybrid 'Deus Ex' (2000) is what I and many others consider the very best PC game ever made. This very dark (in every sense of the word) game based in a near-future cyberpunk world filled with conspiracies where nothing is as it seems, has to be played to be appreciated for its intelligent writing, memorable characters, immersive world and freewill gameplay. And once played, you will definitely be replaying it, and most likely more than once.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a prequel to Deus Ex, at a time when the first strength-enhancing human augmentations have begun to appear. Adam Jensen is an ex-policeman working as security manager for Sarif Industries, the premier manufacturer of augmentations. As a result of a terrorist raid on Sarif's labs, Adam is mortally wounded but his life is saved by a complex operation in which he is implanted with the most cutting-edge augs Sarif has to offer: mechanical arms and legs, augmented eyes, a forehead implant for hacking, and a variety of nifty stuff such as the Typhoon aug which lets Adam take down multiple enemies at once and the Icarus aug which lets him dive off of buildings without injury.

The game begins in Detroit (pictured below) and then takes you to several locations around the world as the story unfolds.

Adam was made with a game in which the highest expansion pack is Generations and patched to 1.24, so if you have not yet bought Pets nor patched your game to 1.26 upwards, you will still be able to use this sim (Sims made with Pets/patch 1.26 do not show up in pre-Pets/1.26 games). Those who do have Pets or patch 1.26 upwards can of course also use this sim.

He is not packaged with custom hair or skin. He is packaged with a default base game hair, so in order to get him to have the hair he should have, as in the pics here, you must download my Mens Spiky Brushed-Back Hair (unless you already have it), install it in your game and then switch to it: http://www.modthesims.info/d/458794

He will be found in CAS in the Adult section (not Young Adult).

Traits: Brave, Daredevil, Hotheaded, Loner, No Sense of Humor

Due to the usual problems with the way the Sims 3 face model sculpt is designed, I unfortunately was unable to reproduce his distinctive big hexagonal forehead aug markings in their full size and scale, because they came out a wavy distorted mess when applied to the sim, so had to do a tiny version as below, sorry.

Also included is a pointy beard tip to give him the pointy-bearded look - I mostly shaped his chin to give it the beard shape, and then topped it off by adding the point as a separate mesh, found under Beards. The tip texture can look flat in certain types of lighting, so if you don't like it, just remove it - his beard will still look OK because of the chin shape but just won't have the pointy tip. (I made just a tip rather than a full beard, because beard meshes look awful and fake in TS3 and I decided it was better to have a tip that looked a little funky than a whole beard that looked bad.)

I made a range of outfits as below. As I'm not a great clothes mesher, I was unable to reproduce his clothes exactly, as I would have liked to do, but modified the default Flight Suit career outfit and my men's trenchcoat outfit to try to make them look at least somewhat like the real ones. I made his augmented arms and although we don't know what his augmented legs look like, I repeated the arm texture for his legs to try to make him look more authentic.

All of the above should automatically appear on him in CAS, but if not, the two full outfits are in Full Body Outfits under both Everyday and Formal, the arms and legs are under Accessories/Gloves (both in one file), the glasses are in Accessories/Glasses (two versions: lenses retracted for sleep and swimming, lenses showing for everything else), and the armblade is in Accessories/Bracelets. (The armblade can be removed from the combat outfit if you feel it gets in the way of things, but I find it pretty amusing to see everyone and everything getting inadvertently stabbed with it.)

'Fight' poses in the 3rd screenshot in the thumbnails are by Morphead: http://www.modthesims.info/d/439694 . How many of you were, like me, disappointed that tapping the 'Takedown' key doesn't work in the scenes with Frank Pritchard? Ha ha.

Thank you for looking, hope you'll have fun with my latest cyberpunk tough-guy.

ALL OF MY SIMS ARE CUSTOM-SLIDER-FREE. I never use custom sliders to make my sims, so you don't need to download shedloads of sliders for them to look the same in your game as they do here. I only use (sparingly) the increased slider range that comes with Awesomemod or Master Controller. If you don't have an increased slider range mod and you edit my sims' faces, you may experience a snapping-back to normal range in that case.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip the .zip file, and you'll have several files, one of which ends in .sim and the rest of which end in .package. Simply copy the .sim file to your 'Saved Sims' folder which is in your Documents folder under Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims (if you don't already have a SavedSims folder there, just create it yourself, in that location), then copy the .package files to your Mods\Packages folder.

If you don't have a Mods\Packages folder and/or don't know how to install .package files, please see full instructions here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...g_Package_Files
