2012-03-01 - Added No Autonomous Change Swing State. This mod contains XML tuning for the baby swing. No more cheaty "be happy forever by sitting in a swing". Also, if you want, no more puking toddlers from overzealous sims autonomously speeding up the swing. "Not only will the customizable Snugabunny Baby Swing look great in your nursery or daycare, and increase the fun for any young child who is swinging, it will also allow you and your child to forget about their other needs while they are swinging, too!" This one was brought up by the user Datch. She wasn't quite happy with the "forget about their other needs while they are swinging" part of the baby swing, but found that the swing package contained no tuning to alter the tradeoff. Since I share Datch's dislike for cheaty stuff, I had a look at the swing's script and found the tunable fields sitting right there. The devs just didn't make an XML resource for them. So, here it is, an XML tuning file for the baby swing. It contains all the tunable fields with comments from the baby swing script. Non-Cheaty Tuning - In this file, the tradeoff of being in the swing has been changed to zero. This will cause normal motive decay. kFastMotiveBumpPerHour changed from 8.0 to 0.0Default Tuning - This file contains the unaltered default tuning. Obviously this one won't change a thing if you use it as is. Use it as base to make your own tuning. USE ONLY ONE! NoAutonomousChangeSwingState disallows autonomously changing the swing speed. That's all. swing tuning Well, right now this mod isn't technically an override, because the baby swing doesn't contain a tuning resource by default. I guess EA may add one at some point, though. The instance ID of the swing tuning XML resource is 0x77BAE6DDF40F2CCF. If the devs decide to add tuning on their own, this mod will override it. If you use another mod that alters the baby swing tuning, this mod will conflict. no autonomous change swing state The instance ID of the ChangeSwingState_BabySwing ITUN resource is 0xA028463F58DEBCA3 (although it's unnamed in the package). Every other mod that alters this will conflict. Supported for game version 1.32, but it should work for every game version the baby swing works for to begin with. Credits go to Datch for bringing the matter up in the first place, for testing the tuning and for altering it to her likings and sharing the findings with me. 331 people have said thanks to Buzzler for this download.
