I've played and tested this career in my own game numerous times to make sure everything works properly. This Adult sim career has its own guid, so it shouldn't overwrite any existing career. I've made a custom icon and male/female uniforms for this as well. The uniforms are just a recoloring of a couple of outfits already in TS2 (for males, it's the athletic wear in the base game; for females, it's the "bowler" outfit in nightlife). The uniforms have their own guid too. This career is in English only. I wanted the job titles, descriptions, wages, etc. to be as realistic as possible and so, I had a little help from my Step-Dad, who is a coal miner. I may not be as experienced as some of the more talented people here, but I am very pleased with how everything turned out. I hope you enjoy and have fun with my very first upload!
To view the details of this career, just click the button below: Level 1: Coal Truck Driver M-Tu-W-Th-F-Sa $112/day You may not get as dirty as the other employees, but sitting in a truck 10 hours a day can be hard work. Your main responsibility is to haul the coal from the mine to the coal tipple. Skills needed: mechanical, charisma, & cleaning Level 2: General Outside Worker M-Tu-W-Th-F $128/day So, you finally get to stretch your legs a bit! You still may not get quite as dirty but, at least you're not sitting in a truck all day. Your duties now include answering the telephone, using the CB radio to communicate with the coal truck drivers, checking supply levels, and any other job that needs to be done. Skills needed: body, charisma, & cleaning Level 3: Belt Line Feeder M-Tu-W-Th-F $160/day You've made it to the inside! The smell of coal and rock dust is gonna take some getting use to,but you love your job. Don't forget your battery light. It's pretty dark down there underneath that mountain. Your job is now to help shovel coal onto the belt line so that the coal can travel to the outside. Skills needed: body, charisma, cleaning Level 4: Shuttle Car Operator M-Tu-W-Th-F $192/day Now's not the time to be lollygagging around! We've got some serious coal that needs cutting. The boss has given you the responsibility of driving and maneuvering the shuttle car to and from the machine that cuts the coal. Skills needed: mechanical, body, logic Level 5: Pinner Operator (Roof Bolter) M-Tu-W-Th-F $208/day Every job is important in this line of business and yours just got a bit tougher. It is now your job to ensure and secure the safety of your fellow miners by placing bolts into the coal roof. We wouldn't want a cave in, now would we? Skills needed: mechanical, body, logic Level 6: Miner M-Tu-W-Th-F $350/day The guys at work have given you a new nickname: "The Crusher" (male)/"Dusty Rose" (female). Keep that battery light charged because now you operate the machine that cuts the coal. The hours are long and the workload is harder. You may get tired but you have a family to feed and bills to pay! Skills needed: mechanical, body, cleaning Level 7: Electrician M-Tu-Th-F $425/day Feel the power! You passed the exam to get your license for the electrician job your boss was telling you about. You must now make sure there is plenty of electricity for the mine to operate properly. You are in charge of fixing splices, cables, and any other mechanical work as needed. Skills needed: mechanical, charisma, logic Level 8: Mine Foreman/Forewoman M-Tu-W-F-Sa $500/day Who's the boss now? The overall safety of your crew is a top priority for you. You make sure the methane levels are safe before allowing fellow miners to enter the mine shaft. You also make sure there is plenty of fresh air travelling into the mine. It is your job to manage the daily operations at your job site. Skills needed: mechanical, charisma, logic Level 9: Superintendent M-Tu-W-Th-F $1200/day You have a lot of responsibilities as superintendent. You need to make sure all the proper paperwork is finished and ready to be faxed to the owner. You must give the mine foreman the work instructions for the things that need to be done. You also manage the equipment and order supplies when needed. Overall, it's your job to make sure things at the job site are running smoothly. Skills needed: charisma, logic, cleaning Level 10: Coal Company Owner M-W-Sa $3500/day All that slaving underground has finally paid off! You are now the owner of this coal company. You get to ride around to various job sites in your big ol', shiny new truck! The only thing you gotta do is check in with the job site's superintendent to see how things are going. It's your job to make sure everyone else is doing their job. Skills needed: mechanical, body, charisma Additional Credits: I would like to thank those who took the time to write the helpful career tutorials here ![]() Vagrant's career uniform outfit templates: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=118888 Emma_Barrett's blank career template: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=170590 I also used SimPE and GIMP 102 people have said thanks to greenbrier for this download.
