I originally started building this house for the mid-Century theme several months ago. But, it was just so HUGE, I thought no one would be interested in it. Then I thought - well, ya never know, maybe some people might could use a whoppin' big house. So, if you like to play with really large, crazy-big families, maybe you could use this house?
I have visited many beach houses along the Florida coast (especially from Daytona Beach up to Fernandina Beach) and they pretty much all have one thing in common... they are very casual - with older, less expensive furniture. (Unless, of course, it is a big splashy showplace of a house, which this is not.) You have to realize that when a hurricane hits, you'll probably lose everything; and, sand really does get everywhere. It [sand] wears down the carpet fibers and unfinishes wooden floors very quickly with it's abrasive nature. So, this house has a dated feel on purpose...
However, it also has every gadget and geegaw your sim will ever need (of course, they're still gonna want their Wants - a bigger TV, louder stereo, hot tub, etc.) Sometimes there's no pleasing a sim.
The house includes: a full kitchen, bar, bookcases, grand piano, easel, computer, billiards table, telescope, and closets, plus a few high-end artworks. Please scroll through the pictures to see everything this house has to offer.
I meant for this to be CC Free
*sigh* but, alas, the invisible smoke detector found it's way in... I really hate those fugly smoke alarms!
This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's
Clean Installer. Invisible smoke alarms are over the kitchen stove, living room and family room fireplaces, and the patio grill. The telephones are on the wall in the kitchen (upstairs) and in the family room (downstairs.) There is a burglar alarm by the front door. Decorations and furniture are included - with a distinct 70's EAxis-beachy vibe - feel free to change things around to suite the needs/tastes of your sims.
