View Full Version : Missing Nighbor for data access error?

I have a new error (never had before) saying "Error: Missing Neighbor For Data Access", and it occurs with some specific sims...so far three women.
I have no idea why this pops up.
The error comes when boolprop is enabled, otherwise the sim just keeps resetting. It's basically the same as the "too many iterations" error (which i fixed with the jump bug fix)
The only new thing i added was the insiminator, and since then i removed t to see if that solved the problem, but there is no difference.
Anyone have any ideas/plans/mods/bitchy comments?
Thanks in advance

What are the sims doing when this error occurrs?

Well that's just it...nothing, just standing around. One generic sim, Meadow Thayer was sent to university, lived there for a while, and then started getting errors. then another generic sim, the cop, Demi Love was visiting her fiancee and started getting errors.
and the other one was a custom made sim (i made) that just started doing it out of the blue one day. i just deleted them externally (but not my own - she was somebody's mother {I dont delete sims within a family tree}). Now she is a townie that keeps resetting.
Any ideas?

Do you have any hacks or other custom content? I had something similar to this when I had two conflicting hacks.

Yeah, I have quite a few hacks, but essencials like the toddler-toilet fix and a daily gardener...mostly from moreawesomethanyou, but i never had problems like this before with them. they just started one day out of the blue.
BUT: One of the resetting women gave a bunch of roses to her lover, (afterwhich i deleted her for having the error). Then he went to view the flowers, and the error came up. that made more sense, since she really was missing. Could it possibly be that these women have an attraction/relation to a deleted sim, and when they want to think about him/her they reset because the game can't find someone i deleted?
- i really hope not, because i deleted quite a few dead/ugly people...since they JUST WONT DIE....if this is the case...could you tell me if there is a hack that nulls out all relations?

Can't you edit someone's relationship with another with Sim PE? (I'm a novice with the program, but that's what I thought.)

You actually can, and i'll try that - and see if it works. Is anyone else having this error?

If you delete someone off a lot, they're not gone. They're only really gone if you remove their character file and sim description.

I delete sims by checking their .package numbers in simpe, and then deleting them from the characters folder in the neighborhood folder in the neighborhoods folder inside the ea Games folder. So the game has no record of deleted sims...this is the only way i know...by the way...is there maybe a mod that lets you choose to remove a dead/bothersome sim permanently without having the game go nuts?
I deleted all the relations to my sick sim (took hours and hours considering the new version of sim pe sees just about EVERYONE as possible relations)
and she still gave the same error. im giving up now and deleting her.

If you look at the sim you're going to delete, it shows all relationships with that sim. You do have to go through all the sims in the neighborhood to get rid of the memories and wants/fears involving the sim.
