View Full Version : Sims 2 CC Delete Broken ???

I tried to delete one of my own custom content packages, a recolor, with the Maxis "trash icon" CC delete tool. This took the recolor out of the list of available recolors, but the *.package file was NOT deleted. Is this what its supposed to do, or did it delete some random *.package file, kind of like the totally broken story mode image deletion tool? Thanks for any thoughts and suggestions.

This article (http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=147983) in the Game Help will hopefully help, though your case seems a little different... If you are able to see (and use) the trashcan icon in the catalog, then the physical package should be removed, too. Perhaps that recolour is currently used on another object in the game?

Thanks for taking the time to help. :)

I think my trouble may have been TWO copies of the same package, one in Downloads, one in ProjectsSimPE (I created this folder). Both are subdirectories of The Sims 2. I guess ALL subdirectories of The Sims 2 get searched for *.package files, so I better move my ProjectsSimPE directory somewhere else.

I read the article, and I do have the trash bin icon when I use the "design tool". That's what I tried using when I wrote that first post.
