I've seen all the sites that have car mesh's for other games such as nfs and gta. I know these can be converted to work as vehicles in the sims 2 but, would there be a way to make them into stationary objects like sculptures? There are quite a few that I'd like to put in my game but just as props, not functioning vehicles. For example, I have a multi level parking garage but, cant add cars on the upper level, I have dealerships but I can only place vehicles in driveways or driveway extensions. So, anyone know if its possible to turn a 3d car model into a statue? Thanks in advance!

Use the "moveobjects on" cheat to place vehicles where you can't normally.

Yes, it's possible to convert them. Sometimes they need to be reduced in polygon counts, since Sims 2 is a lower poly game than many. You'd also need permission of the creator if you wanted to redistribute it... the right programs to edit GTA/NFS cars in the first place (which may cost money), and the knowledge of how to make Sims 2 decorative meshes enough to get the mesh, once converted, working and textured into Sims 2.

There are also some low-poly cars in the neighborhood objects. I think most of these can be located via Object Workshop, cloned with duplicated mesh, then extract the GMDC and textures to include in a new buyable object.
