Hi,
when I open the Clean Installer and choose the directory Downloads, there comes a screen with all my download files and it says:
There was some files which couldnt have been read.
And then I can only click Ok..
What can I do to have my downloads sorted and delete the ones I want to delete?

They are most likely files which have names with non-english characters in them- such as korean characters, accented characters such as Ä or cyrillic. If you have any files in your Downloads folder with such characters you'll need to rename them to make them compatible with the Clean Installer.

The same thing is happening to me and I've tried everything in this forum. I know I don't have any file names with non-english characters in them. It used to work fine for me but now it doesn't. Maybe it's not compatible with AL?

It can also be due to corrupted files, or files with non-English characters in their descriptions. Clean Installer works just fine with Apartment Life, despite not being updated in at least two years now.

I've found that you also need to rename the files that have " or ' or $ or ! or other characters along with the letters with diacritical marks. :) Once I renamed my files, I was able to install them. :)
