View Full Version : Need help with converting existing clothing to a custom mesh

I can't seem to find anything specific about this.

What I am trying to do is take and existing piece of clothing and convert it to a custom body mesh.

So for example I want to take the default maxis black tank top and convert it to take the shape of a different body mesh.

How would I do this? I assume I just need to clone the mesh and rename it to whatever it needs to be to work with the tank top but I need some direction.

Make a new project of the custom mesh you want to use.

Make a new project of the Maxis textures you want to use on the custom mesh.

Copy the textures from the Maxis textures over to the custom mesh.

You may need to adjust the textures for differences in mapping or distortion from the custom mesh.
