I've been having problems with cloning objects and then having the textures not showing up on them. I was hoping someone might be able to help me with this.
I've been trying to clone objects in object workshop, and every time I clone the package it seem to come out alright but when i click on the "plug in" mode to see the mesh, I get an error message that reads:
"the parent cres was not found this means SIM PE is unable to build the joint hierarchy"
after that I click okay, and the mesh does become visible, but it does not show any texture on the mesh.
Sometime i don't get the error message, as with this food display package. BUt when i went to change the texture for the base of the display, then that same error message came up.
I have gone to SIM PE and looked for answers. I posted there about this there last week, but didn't find any help.
I have searched and searched through the site looking for someone with the same problem but haven't found it. It did say in one spot that this was probably a CEP issue so I should uninstall and reinstall the newest CEP, which i did, but that didn't help.:(
I went to TSR and found one other person having the same issue, though not as many of her items are affected..Unfortunately she doesn't know what's happening either.
It seems as if it' s always the base that has this problem.
So far I have gone through every kitchen counter and this happens with every one. Regardless of expansion pack. I also found the "Just" shelves have the same problem, although the pedestals that came with OFB do clone fine.
ALso the freezer from OFB and food bins, have the same problem with the missing base texture. The grocery part does show but the base itself doesn't.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled SIM PE and the M&G patch several times..doing a clean install each time but that didn't change anything.
I am using latest version of SIM PE updated to M&G, I ran a check on the the system folders in the preferences all are okay. and I do have CEP and DDS utilities installed. OH and I am using the default settings when cloning.
I am attaching two packages. The "fooddisplayproducecenter" and a counter: "NeonServe" by Neontrixf.
I thought if maybe one of you guys were to see the package itself. You might be able to give me a clue as to what's happening.
Any help on the is deeply appreciated.
