View Full Version : Why are my customers so stupid?

I have an at home florist business, but most of the time the customers just want to hang out and chat. If I have 3 people in the store, chances are only one of them is considering a purchase, while the other two are trying to admire each other (and usually failing.). Anything I can do to make them behave? Like, would putting music speakers in make them more interested in shopping? Or do I need to go visit MATY and find something there?
Stupid customers.

I'd definitely say a trip to MATY is in order. I had to do that myself as the customers who did nothing but socialising or fighting were driving me mad.
In the meantime try the 'show item to' command (or words to that effect) to at least break up the chats. I also got to know by sight the sims who only came to chat and not buy and I used to head them off and send them away before they distracted any other potential customers :D

If you have too many shoppers who are more interested in socializing, you can put a ticket booth in and charge them to just chat. If you set the price at "extremely cheap" or whatever the lowest benchmark is, they don't complain too much about being charged admission to come in and buy stuff. And it's less frustrating to watch them gossipping or flirting with each other if they are paying you to do it.
