Thanks for the comment, fway. :) He was a kind of funny looking guy, until I put dreads on him and made him a hippy (he was always blowing bubbles in college, dang Pleasure Sim!). And, yeah, there aren't many Sims that can pull off that hair, but he looks pretty good I think!

I've read the photo tutorial but I seem to be doing it right..I'm hosting them on photobucket and I'm selecting the IMG part *mega confused*

Lovely sims! It's so nice to see them from one life stage to the next. I accidentally broke my game so now my freshly reinstalled game is seriously low on in game born sims, but recently my firs next generation sim grew into a teen. I absolutely adore my adorkable Ava Anderson sim. She has the worst clothing taste and seems to prefer to grow up in Goopy style matched clothing. She also is extremely shy, but is an enthusiastic karaoke singer. I suspect she's an avid Celine Dion fan and sings "my heart will go on" everytime she get's the chance ;)

Wellllll, Ferret... Charlotte is currently living in the house she grew up in with her younger sister, Marley. I moved Devon and Kaylynn into a new, smaller, house where they could live out the rest of their elderhood. When I first started playing, my toddlers came out pretty ugly, too. Then I read that if you have parents whose face structures stray too far from the game's face templates, the game doesn't know how to combine the features when the Sims breed, and you will often wind up with ugly toddlers, especially. They usually grow into their faces, eventually, but the toddlers and sometimes the children can be pretty ugly.

So now, when I create Sims for breeding -- as I did for my legacy, of course -- I don't make him/her/them too greatly different from one of the standard face templates, only changing maybe three features for a bit of uniqueness and being careful not to make those changes too extreme. I seem to like larger and more close-set eyes and poofier lips, so those are the features I change most often.

I found that what really messed things up for breeding purposes is if you change the overall length of the Sim's face too much, so I avoid that now if I know that particular Sim is going to be bred. If they've got a gigantic forehead, for instance, I just give them a hairstyle that disguises it rather than mess with that slider, as I used to do. Xena up there kind of has that problem, actually, which is why she has hairstyles with long, concealing bangs.

All that being said, I'm really not one of those people obsessed with "beauty" in my Sims. I quite like my homely ones, too, and I've got plenty of them. :)
