I did get the posters (2 of them since I bought 1 CE and 1 regular copy), but I dont think they ship posters with game because that would just destroy the posters. You know how malaysian postage services are like. ;)

I pre-ordered it, but I chose to have it shipped to the store because in the past UPS has gotten lost bringing orders to my house. Once I paid extra for a computer battery to ship in like two days, but it took more then a week because the UPS people couldn't find us even with directions. At first they kept saying they had lost the package, but then they apologized because the driver was lying because they didn't want to admit they hadn't delivered it yet.

I also had a problem with UPS when I ordered other things online. So I was not going to take my chances with the sims. I just have to wait for the store to open up then I am going to scream and go get it...

I know how you feel about UPS. I feel that way about FedEx. I do live in a good area, but FedEx will leave anything on my doorstop of my apartment complex. When I was having PC problems last year and had to have it swapped out a couple of times (ugh!), they left it on my doorstop, even though it clearly said "HP" on the box many many times. UPS will always try to see if I am home (which I never am when they deliver), and then deliver it to the rental office instead.

I actually sent EA an email about this. Because they want to ban piracy, but this doesn't really help in that.
People who want the game will download it and if it works, why should they buy it? They already have it.
I'm not saying it's alright to pirate it! But when they would have a worldwide releasedate, it would prevent a lot of people from pirating it.
I don't think i'll be given an answer, but i hope they do answer.

Sounds like you had the CD-ROM version. :) A lot more data can fit onto a DVD. TS2 DVD version was only one disc as well.

Yes, they stopped using Cd Roms with open for business as most of the players have DvD rom drives. It alctually amkes them slightly more money per sale, so it soon mounts up.

I like this. I hate having to change discs all the time the first few expansions.

Oooh, I LOVE the bags, too! It's too bad if I had one I would feel every time I used it that I was giving EA free advertisement. We use those kind of bags ALL the time for almost all of our shopping, and we have them from just about all the different grocery stores in our area so as to give each store equal advertising instead of looking like we prefer one store over another. We got started using them in our effort to produce less waste from our household and ended up totally loving them for many other reasons as well. A person absolutely would NOT believe how much easier those bags are to use for groceries.

I played another game that my computer didn't meet the specs for and it crashed like yours. It could be something to do with your graphics card? There's a website that you can use to analyse your computer to see if it's able to play a game, and if not, the reasons behind why. :) www.canyourunit.com Select Sims 3 from the drop down box and it should tell you your problem.

Hope it gets sorted soon. :D

taylalatbh - Please don't recommend that site or sites like it as they are notoriously unreliable for detecting hardware properly and giving you a clear picture of your system's capabilities for a certain game. We have full requirements for TS3 in the Computer subforum of Help, as well as how to find your system specs.
