Hello, everyone.
I have The Sims 3, v. 3.1.7 - World Adventures and High-End Loft Stuff. A known issue is that previously installed content has disappeared and the installer is crashing. I've read the threads and tried to troubleshoot accordingly. I tried to edit my resources.cfg file... but there isn't one. The only one I found was in the Bin file and since it didn't have any asterisks I assumed it was not the same one mentioned in the tutorial so I did not edit it.
My content installer doesn't even get past a black square and I have to force the program to close.

I have deleted all custom content installed, cleared my cache, prayed fervently and screamed at the computer. None of this has worked.

Is anyone else having a problem with being able to toggle screens? Alt+Tab is now a death sentence to any progress unsaved.
I contacted EA for help over a week ago and was told to send a copy of my DxDiag.txt file, I have not heard a response back since.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and thanks for taking the time to listen to me whine.
