another architect/design problem

TWO of my clients now have told me that they "can't live in such squalor!" and won't pay me until I "finish" - I've met all the requirements and I even went back and gave them more expensive stuff and spent every last dime of their money but they still aren't satisfied- what's the deal? Are they just trying to stiff me??

I had this too, some time ago, I think in 3 different clients.
I did everything they asked, tried with different furnitures, colors, pretty much everything...
Eventually I just left the job, it was there for few days, and then it was gone.
Guess it's a bug.. Haven't tried what happens if you say you are finished before you actually are.. I would asume something like that would pop up then.

Check if they have enough beds for all persons in the household to sleep in. Doesn't matter how many beds they had before you started renovating; when you finish every person in the household need his/her own place to sleep.
Also make sure that all other necessities of life (fridge, toilet) are intact.

i got this too around level 2-3 i think...i gave up.....that JOB was gone by the time i got up too level 6.....

You can also get the squalor message if there are walls and floors that are not painted. Sadly, this includes outdoors. The one time I got the squalor message, I had put a picnic table outside in an area that had no flooring, just terrain paint. You can put plants in dirt, but don't put furniture on the bare ground.

Did you move you sim into the room in question and check the moodlets? Once when this happened it had the unfinished room moodlet and so I had to check everything again.

You may ahve already thought of that, just what happened with me

I've started another architect, and this time I'm saving before every job, so that if I get a bad rating, I can reload and do one thing differently until I understand what caused it :p

I am so freaking thrilled. I won't have to deal with that tiny little cell phone camera any longer.
My boyfriend just sent me a picture message. He apparently bought me World Adventures just a few minutes ago lol
