View Full Version : Variations of The Legacy Challenge Like Alphabetacies?

Okay so; A lot of legacies these days are so cliched and boring, including my own. I want to do a legacy that is original, and different, or even lesser used, like an Alphabetacy.
So does anyone know/have any ideas for some good Legacy challenge variations?
Thanks,

I know some players make their legacies more interesting by making it a witch legacy, or whatever your favorite paranormal is.

I was thinking that I could do an asylum/alphabetacy crossover legacy.
I would do an asylum-like challenge to determine the founder (Leave the sims to their own devices and the last one alive is the founder) and then do the alphabetacy part, and I would have, for example, a minumum of four children, then once they are all adults, I would do the mini asylum thing with them, to determine the heir, and so forth.
It just popped up randomly in my head >.<
I could also add themes in for each generation, like, as you said, a paranormal creature, or whatever.

An asylum on every generation would be difficult, you'd have to make sure all the possible heirs don't die, that you have at least one left. Good luck ;)

I read on another forum about "uglacies" and variations thereof... the straight version is taking a randomly generated sim as your founder and by breeding with the worst-looking townies you can find make them as ugly as possible by the 10th generation.
My personal favourite version of that is the opposite - you START with an ugly sim and have to "dilute the ugly gene" in 10 generations :) Although I've not used him yet, I do already have my DTUG founder made and saved in Bodyshop!

i created a triple legacy, somewhere in the challenge forum. Each generation has 3 heirs, so it gets kind of difficult to manage with a high number of people in the house constantly

I've tried the ugly one before, but somehow got lucky and got a pretty kid in the 3rd generation :o

With my idea of the asylum-legacy, I was really trying to mix together a whole lot of legacy variations (Alphabetacy, Uglacy, etc) along with some other twist (the asylum). So I pretty much want as many variations as I can get, and then squish them all together somehow to make a new, original variation of the legacy challenge. It seems like fun, so why not? ^^

Hmm.. there's stuff like a Riskacy (your founder marries or breeds with the first opposite-sex person on the lot)
Or there's the NLC Legacy (http://www.sims2supernova.com/showthread.php?4900-NLC-3-the-Legacy-Week-16-17) which has unique rules for generations and things of that nature.
Hope it helps :)

I've decided to go with my original idea of squishing together an alphabetacy, an uglacy, and an insane asylum. I call it "The Amalgamacy". Awesome, right? x]

You Could do a normal legacy but you can ONLY have children and get married to NPCs like maids, firefighters, and repairmen.
