Hey guys, I don't know if it's possible, but is there anyone out there who knows how to make a painting that my Sim has painted into an item that I can buy from the catalogue?
Thanks in advance

The paintings your sim paints can be dragged into your inventory and placed on a wall, or sold. If you want to have those pre-defined paintings to buy in the catalog then you'd have to pull the textures from the game files and create new paintings. Tutorial -> http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=392299. There may be a mod that allows your sim to paint any of the pre-defined paintings at any level, please use WCIF for that. If your talking about the portrait or still life's painted in game, then not sure where that info is stored.

So after a bit more digging I found two options to retrieve your images.
1) Tiger's Neigborhood Editor - http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=350770 - This will allow you to open your world and export the paintings. File/Open/<save.nhd>, then File/Export Painting.
2)Open your <save.nhd> in s3pe and sort by type, your painting images are the _IMG. You can right click and export those.
Both of those will allow you to get your painting images and then just follow the tutorial I linked above to create cc paintings.

I've not tried it on OS X but it should work since I think it only requires .net 2.5. Install Mono as any other program.
- open the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app)
- type export MONO_MWF_MAC_FORCE_X11=1 and hit enter
- type mono and a space, then drag the exe onto the terminal window) and hit enter
For help on installing Mono I'd suggest looking at there website and help pages. As I recall I simply downloaded the dmg and installed and it was done.
