Vampire died and turned into ash..

I was talking to a vampire, maybe too rigorously.
He then died from thirst and turned into ash.
The family did not gather the ash up nor could I.
(only get "clean up" option which is throwing ash into trash can)
So the ash stays on the floor

I want to revive him but can't find his ghost.
He is not even buried.
I checked the graveyard and mausoleum and house - no tombstone nor urn
I "manage the dead" and "bury the dead" on laptop with mastercontrol mod but zero dead came up.
He is not even considered dead by the game as I cannot find him on the "dead" list

What do I do to revive him?
Have any of you run into the same problem?
All I have right now is his ash on the floor! :blink:

(I have mastercontrol and overwatch mod, and I am open to more)

I'm pretty sure this only happens if you have Shoni's vampire overhaul. If you don't, this is a very odd occurence So you should pm him and ask this question.

I don't have shoni's vampire overhaul, and this event happened before I installed any mods. The ash has just been sitting there.

When a vampire dies from thirst it will turn into ash first, but as soon as the Grim Reaper comes also an urn will appear and the ghost will rise from the ash pile. If there's no urn anywhere to be found, I'd think that there are two possible reasons for this:
a) you got a glitch
b) the relationship between your Sim and that vampire wasn't high enough. In that case no urn will be produced and the dead Sim is deleted from your game.

Orz. I recall that vampire died from thirst because I was stalk talking to him to satisfy my
"become a friend with" wish. Therefore my sim's relationship him might have not been high enough.

What do I do now then, if I insist on having him back to life?
Is all I can do to create a look-a-like in CAS and insert him back to his family?

I have been having -15 moodlet in real life for lacking sleep because playing sims all night lol. :P

That's not really needed. One vampire paparazzi died on my sim's front yard and even though they were not even friends, I got the tombstone. Now her ghost wanders around almost every night.


Grantoro... if you use "save as" option, then you could use the save before the vampire died. :)

Because I'm pretty sure that I couldn't get Beau Merricks urn when he died in the lobby while my Sim was already upstairs waiting for him. Had to reload and change their relationship and when he decided that he should die again (this time in front of the fridge :wtf: ) his urn appeared in the mausoleum then. Sim and Beau were good friends the second time, the first time they hadn't met yet.

Actually, no. I wasn't looking for having another grave added to the lot and waited for the urn to disappear. It didn't. Finally I decided to keep it instead of taking it to the graveyard simply because the dead sim was a vampire.

And no, I do not have vampire mods in my game.

Rawr ! This happened a week ago and back then I didn't realize anything wrong with it.

Now I have progressed so much in the game,
maybe I will just have to leave his ash there till one day I can fix it lol.

The ashes won't help you at all, they are really just rubbish you can throw away. What you need is the urn.
